MP NEET UG 2026 Mop Up Round counselling schedule out: register by October 2

The Department of Public Health and Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, announced the schedule for the Mop Up Round counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions under MP NEET 2026 today, September 22, 2026. This round aims to fill vacant seats remaining after the completion of Round 1 and Round 2 of counselling.

The MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 process, which began on August 13, 2026, is conducted online for admissions to approximately 4,875 medical and 1,283 dental seats across 30 medical and 14 dental colleges in the state. Candidates seeking admission to these courses must have qualified the NEET UG 2026 exam, which was re-conducted on June 21, 2026, after an initial cancellation of the May 3, 2026 exam.

MOP UP Round Registration and Key Dates

The Mop Up Round registration for newly eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates is scheduled to commence on September 28, 2026, and will conclude on October 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Following registration, the DME Madhya Pradesh will release the revised state merit list and eligible candidates list for this round on October 3, 2026.

The publication of vacant seats for the Mop Up Round is set for October 4, 2026. Fresh choice filling and locking, which is mandatory for participation in this round, will be available from October 4 to October 7, 2026, until 11:59 PM. The seat allotment results for the Mop Up Round will be declared on October 10, 2026, with reporting and admission at the allotted medical or dental colleges scheduled from October 11 to October 14, 2026, until 6:00 PM.

Previous Counselling Rounds and Penalties

The MP NEET UG 2026 counselling process has already completed two rounds. The Round 2 seat allotment results were released on September 11, 2026, following a schedule issued on September 3, 2026. Registration and an edit facility for Round 2 were available from September 5-6, 2026. The publication of physical and virtual vacancies, along with the revised merit list and eligible candidates list for Round 2, occurred on September 7, 2026.

Reporting at allotted medical or dental colleges for Round 2 took place from September 12-18, 2026. Candidates from Round 2 who wished to upgrade to the Mop Up Round could indicate their willingness during the same period. Online resignation or cancellation at the college level for Round 2 was also permitted from September 12-18, 2026. Candidates resigning from an allotted Round 2 seat are subject to a penalty of ₹2 lakh for Indian candidates and ₹10 lakh for NRI candidates.

Eligibility Criteria and Reservation Policies

To be eligible for MP NEET UG 2026 counselling, candidates must be between 17 and 25 years old, have qualified for NEET UG 2026, and passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. The minimum marks required are 50% for the general category and 40% for reserved categories. A counselling registration fee of ₹1,000 is applicable across all categories.

The counselling process reserves 85% of seats for the State Quota, with the remaining 15% allocated to the All India Quota. Candidates must be residents of Madhya Pradesh to be eligible for the state quota. Reservation percentages include 20% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 16% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 14% for Other Backward Classes (OBC – NCL), and 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS). In addition, there is a 30% horizontal reservation for women candidates, 3% for Freedom Fighter Quota, 3% for Defence Personnel Quota, and 5% horizontal reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD). A 5% reservation of state quota seats is also applied for students who studied Classes 9 to 12 in government schools within the state.
