CUSB PG admission 2026-27: report in person on 28 September for paid seats

The Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) issued a notification on 18 September 2026 for admission to Postgraduate (PG) programmes under the Supernumerary Paid/Payment Seats category for the Academic Year 2026-27. Prospective candidates are required to report in person at the CUSB Campus in Gaya on 28 September 2026 for admission consideration.

This admission round aims to fill vacant seats in various PG programmes following the completion of regular CUET (PG) 2026 based admission rounds. The scheme provides an opportunity for candidates who may have missed the initial admission cycles or did not appear for CUET (PG) 2026, as CUET scores will not be the basis for merit in this particular round.

Eligibility and Application Process

Admission under the Paid/Payment Seat category is open to all candidates who meet the prescribed minimum eligibility criteria for their chosen PG programme. Notably, candidates who did not appear in CUET (PG)–2026 are also eligible to apply. The merit list for this round will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying Undergraduate Degree.

Candidates must complete two preliminary steps before the physical reporting date. They are required to fill in the Admission under Paid Seat category Application Form (Annexure-IV) and send it by email to spotadmission@cusb.ac.in by 27 September 2026. Also, applicants must complete a Google Form, accessible via the link: https://forms.gle/GGgaMUH9wkCDvQwX6.

Reporting and Admission Schedule

All eligible candidates must report in person at Room No. 137, First Floor, Chanakya Bhavan, CUSB Campus, Gaya, on 28 September 2026, by 12:30 PM. The merit list will be prepared from among those who physically report for admission. In cases of equal percentages in the qualifying examination, preference will be given to the older candidate. If one candidate’s final result has been declared and another’s has not, the candidate with the declared result will receive preference.

The list of candidates offered admission will be announced at 2:00 PM on 28 September 2026. Those offered admission must complete the entire admission process, including the payment of the Admission Fee (One-time Fee and First Semester Fee), by 3:30 PM on the same day. Failure to complete the admission process and fee payment within this stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the offer. Candidates not already registered on the SAMARTH Portal must complete registration upon physical reporting by paying a prescribed Registration Fee.

Available Programmes and Seat Vacancy

A total of 19 Postgraduate programmes have supernumerary paid seats available for the Academic Year 2026-27. The vacancy position was indicated as of 18 September 2026, with the university noting that any additional vacancies arising from cancellations or withdrawals before 28 September 2026 may also be filled through this admission round. The Central University of South Bihar, established under the Central Universities Act, 2009, is accredited with Grade A++ by NAAC and recognized as a Category-I University by UGC.

Candidates must bring original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies for verification. Required documents include the duly filled-in Admission under Paid Seat category Application Form (Annexure-IV) and all documents/certificates specified in Annexure, III.
