MP AYUSH UG 2026 round 1 merit list out; fill choices by 26 September

The Directorate of AYUSH, Madhya Pradesh, released the State Merit List for MP AYUSH UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling on 23 September 2026. This publication, made from Satpura Bhawan in Bhopal, supports admissions to AYUSH undergraduate courses under State Quota seats.

Qualified candidates from NEET UG 2026 are now required to proceed with online choice filling and locking of their preferred colleges, a process open until 26 September 2026. The counselling schedule was released by the Directorate of AYUSH, Madhya Pradesh, to speed up the admission process.

MP AYUSH UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling Schedule

The counselling process for MP AYUSH UG 2026 Round 1 commenced with online registration for NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates, which ran from 17 September 2026 to 21 September 2026. Following registration, in-person document verification was conducted at nine designated centres across the state from 18 September 2026 to 22 September 2026.

The vacant seat matrix was also published on 23 September 2026, coinciding with the release of the state merit list. Candidates have until 26 September 2026 to complete their choice filling and locking, with a parallel window for choice editing and final re-locking.

Subsequent Rounds and All India Quota Counselling

Following the conclusion of Round 1, the Round 1 Seat Allotment Result Declaration is scheduled for 28 September 2026. Successful candidates will then proceed with physical reporting and provisional admission at their allotted colleges from 29 September 2026 to 01 October 2026. A window for admission cancellation or seat resignation is also available during this period.

Detailed schedules for Round 2 and the Mop-Up Round will be published by the Directorate of AYUSH, Madhya Pradesh, after 01 October 2026. For All India Quota (AIQ) seats, the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) conducts online counselling. These AIQ seats include 15% in Government and Government Aided colleges, and 100% in Deemed Universities. The AACCC also covers Central Universities, National Institutes of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homoeopathy medical streams, as well as Institutional Quota PG seats of Banaras Hindu University.

Background of AYUSH Systems in Madhya Pradesh

The AYUSH systems, encompassing Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Yoga, and Naturopathy, were initially established in Madhya Pradesh during 1977–78. At their inception, these systems operated under the administrative oversight of the Department of Public Health and Family Welfare. This foundational period aimed at the development and promotion of traditional Indian medicine within the state.

A significant administrative shift occurred in 1995 when the AYUSH systems were transferred to the control of the Department of Medical Education. To further bolster and strengthen AYUSH healthcare, a dedicated AYUSH Department was formally constituted in Madhya Pradesh on 9 September 2008. The stated objective of this department is to promote, preserve, and advance traditional Indian medicine systems through research, training, and public welfare initiatives, according to the Ministry of Ayush Govt. of MP.
