The wait is finally over for thousands of management aspirants across Maharashtra. Today, April 28, 2026, marks the commencement of the MAH BBA CET 2026. This state-level entrance exam is the gateway for students seeking admission into BBA, BMS, BCA, and BBM programs for the 2026-27 academic session.
To ensure you donβt face any last-minute hurdles, we have elaborated on the latest reporting times, mandatory documents, and essential guidelines issued by the State CET Cell.
MAH BBA CET 2026: Shift Timings and Reporting
The exam is being conducted in multiple shifts across three days, starting today. It is critical to stick to the schedule mentioned on your specific hall ticket, as the gates will close strictly 30 minutes before the paper begins.
| Event | Shift 1 (Morning) | Shift 2 (Afternoon) |
| Reporting Time | 8:30 AM | 12:30 PM |
| Gate Closing Time | 9:30 AM | 1:30 PM |
| Exam Duration | 10:00 AM β 12:00 PM | 2:00 PM β 4:00 PM |
Note: The exam duration has been officially increased to 120 minutes (2 hours) this year. Previously, it was a 90-minute format. This extra time is a significant advantage for students tackling the 100 questions.
What to Carry to the Exam Centre (Checklist)?
Do not leave your house without verifying these items. Entry will be denied if the primary documents are missing, as the verification process is strict.
-
Printed Hall Ticket: A physical, color-printed copy of your MAH BBA CET 2026 Admit Card is mandatory. Digital copies on phones or tablets will not be accepted. Ensure your photo and signature are clearly visible.
-
Valid Photo ID (Original): You must carry an original government-issued ID. Acceptable IDs include Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License. Note that a Learnerβs License or Ration Card is generally not accepted as valid ID proof.
-
Passport Size Photograph: Carry at least two recent photos. You will need to affix one to the attendance sheet. It is best if these match the photo uploaded during your registration.
-
Ballpoint Pen: Although the exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT), you must carry a simple blue or black ballpoint pen for signing the attendance sheet and performing rough work on the provided paper.
-
Transparent Water Bottle: To stay hydrated during the session. Only clear, unlabelled bottles are permitted.
Important Exam Day Guidelines
To maintain the integrity of the exam, the State CET Cell has laid out specific behavioral and operational rules.
1. Dress Code and Conduct
Keep your attire simple and comfortable. The authorities recommend light-colored clothing with half-sleeves to speed up the frisking process. Avoid clothes with large buttons, multiple pockets, or heavy embroidery. If you are wearing customary or religious attire (such as a Hijab or Turban), you must reach the center at least 90 minutes early for mandatory security screening.
2. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly banned inside the examination hall. There are often no storage facilities at the centers, so it’s best to leave these at home or with a guardian:
-
Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, health bands, and Bluetooth devices.
-
Stationery: Books, notebooks, or pieces of paper. Rough sheets will be provided by the invigilator.
-
Accessories: Wallets, goggles, belts, and expensive jewelry.
3. Inside the Exam Hall
-
Biometrics & Verification: Upon entry, your attendance will involve a biometric photo capture and thumbprint. Ensure your fingers are free from ink or henna (Mehendi) to avoid technical delays.
-
Marking Scheme: The paper consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) across four sections: English, Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Computer Basics. Each carries 1 mark. There is no negative marking, so make sure to attempt every single question.
- Rough Work: All calculations must be done on the rough sheet provided. You must write your Roll Number at the top and surrender the sheet to the invigilator before leaving the room.
Quick Tips for Success
-
Time Management: With 120 minutes for 100 questions, you have more than a minute per question. Use the first few minutes to scan the paper.
-
Reach Early: Reach the venue at least 60β90 minutes before the gates close to account for traffic and the multi-layered security checks.
-
Technical Check: Once seated, ensure your mouse and keyboard are functioning correctly. If you face any lag, inform the invigilator immediately before the timer starts.
