The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell is currently conducting the MHT CET 2026 PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) group examinations. As of today, April 24, Shift 1 has officially concluded at 12:00 PM, and students are now gearing up for the afternoon session.

With thousands of aspirants competing for seats in Pharmacy and Agriculture courses across Maharashtra, the stakes are high. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of today’s exam status, paper analysis, and critical instructions for Shift 2 candidates.

MHT CET April 24 Shift 1: Quick Paper Analysis

The first shift, which ran from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, saw a steady turnout at various centers. Initial feedback from students suggests that the paper followed the expected difficulty curve.

  • Biology: Generally reported as the easiest but lengthiest section, focusing heavily on Ecology, Plant Physiology, and Reproduction.

  • Chemistry: Moderate difficulty. Questions were well-distributed between Physical Chemistry (numericals) and Organic Chemistry (named reactions).

  • Physics: Considered the most challenging section by many, with a focus on Thermodynamics, Rotational Dynamics, and Electrostatics.

As per the exam pattern, candidates had 180 minutes to solve 200 questions (50 each for Physics and Chemistry, and 100 for Biology). There is no negative marking, which allowed students to attempt all questions freely.
