Chhattisgarh SET 2026 admit card released: download before October 4 exam

The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB/Vyapam) and Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB) released the admit cards for the Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (SET 2026) on September 28, 2026. Candidates can now download their hall tickets from the official websites, vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in and cgssb.cgstate.gov.in, in preparation for the examination scheduled for October 4, 2026.

The SET 2026 examination is a state-level test designed to assess the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professor positions in various universities and colleges across Chhattisgarh. It is considered equivalent to national-level examinations such as UGC NET and CSIR NET for Assistant Professor appointments within the state.

Cg SET 2026 Examination Schedule and Structure

The Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (SET 2026) will be conducted on October 4, 2026, across 19 subjects at 8 designated examination centers within Chhattisgarh. The examination comprises two papers, both held on the same day.

Paper I consists of 50 questions for a total of 100 marks, with a duration of one hour from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Paper II, which follows from 11:30 AM to 01:30 PM, includes 100 questions for 200 marks. There is no negative marking in the CG SET examination. The syllabus for CG SET 2026 is based on the UGC NET and UGC-CSIR NET syllabus.

Application Process and Eligibility Criteria

The online application process for CG SET 2026 commenced on July 23, 2026, with the official notification released under Advertisement No. परीक्षा एफ-20/2026 dated July 23, 2026. The deadline for submitting application forms and fee payments was August 17, 2026. A correction window for applications was provided from August 18 to August 20, 2026.

To be eligible for the Assistant Professor post through CG SET, general category candidates must possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks. For SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Transgender candidates, a Master’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks is required. Candidates appearing in the final year of their Master’s degree or awaiting results are provisionally eligible to apply. There is no upper age limit for applicants.

Admit Card Download and Examination Day Instructions

Candidates can download their admit cards by providing their Enrollment Number, Registration Number, or Date of Birth on the official websites. It is mandatory for candidates to download and print their admit card. On the day of the examination, October 4, 2026, candidates must carry the printed admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination center.

Candidates are advised to reach the examination center at least one hour before the reporting time to complete all necessary formalities. Chhattisgarh domicile candidates who appear in the examination will receive a refund of the examination fee after the declaration of the result.
