AP ICET 2026 final phase seat allotment out: self-reporting and college joining by September 30

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) commenced the self-joining and reporting process today, September 28, 2026, for candidates who have been allotted seats in the AP ICET 2026 Final Phase. Candidates must complete both online self-reporting and physical college reporting by September 30, 2026, to confirm their admission to MBA and MCA programmes across colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

The AP ICET 2026 counselling is an online admission process for MBA and MCA seats under the Convenor quota across university and private colleges. This final phase follows the first phase of counselling, which concluded on September 14, 2026, with a substantial number of seats remaining vacant.

Final Phase Allotment and Reporting Procedure

The AP ICET 2026 Final Phase seat allotment result was officially released on September 26, 2026. As of September 27, 2026, candidates have been able to log in to the official portal to check their allotment status. The subsequent step requires candidates to complete online self-reporting and then physically report to their allotted colleges between September 28 and September 30, 2026. This dual reporting mechanism is mandatory for seat confirmation.

Special category candidates, including those under PH, NCC, CAP, Sports and Games, or Anglo-Indian categories, are required to book a slot and report physically to a designated state Helpline Center with their original documentation for verification.

Vacancy Status After Phase 1 Counselling

Following the conclusion of the first phase of AP ICET 2026 counselling on September 14, 2026, a substantial number of seats for MBA and MCA programs remained vacant. Only 17.34% of the total available seats were filled. Out of a combined total of 46,464 MBA and MCA seats, 38,405 remained vacant, according to the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

Specifically, in the MBA stream, 5,306 out of 29,762 seats were secured by candidates during Phase 1. For MCA programs, 2,753 out of 16,702 seats were filled. The physical college reporting and online self-joining for the first phase allotment officially concluded on September 14, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria and Fee Structure

To participate in the AP ICET counselling, General and OBC candidates are required to have a minimum of 25% marks (50 out of 200 marks) in the entrance exam. There is no minimum cutoff for SC/ST candidates. For MBA admissions, candidates must possess a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks, which is reduced to 45% for reserved SC, ST, and BC categories. For MCA admissions, a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) is required, with Mathematics studied at the 10+2 Intermediate level or during Graduation.

The APSCHE guidelines state that degrees completed in a single examination sitting or calendar year are ineligible. Distance education degrees are valid only if recognized by UGC, AICTE, and DEB/DEC joint committees. The counselling processing fee is ₹1,250 for OC/OBC categories and ₹650 for SC/ST/PH categories.

Reservation Policies and Important Dates

Andhra Pradesh follows a reservation policy where 85% of local seats are reserved for applicants who studied or resided for seven consecutive academic years within Andhra University (AU) or Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) regions. The remaining 15% constitutes an unreserved state quota, open to both local and non-local status holders based strictly on merit ranking.

The AP ICET 2026 exam was held on May 2, 2026, with the official results and rank card released on May 16, 2026. The official web counselling notification was issued on August 20, 2026. The timeline for Phase 1 admissions included online registration, document upload, and fee payment from August 24 to August 31, 2026, followed by online verification of uploaded certificates from August 25 to September 1, 2026. Web options entry for Phase 1 was from August 27 to September 2, 2026, with a modification window on September 3, 2026. The official seat allotment for Phase 1 was published on September 7, 2026, and mandatory dual reporting took place from September 8 to September 11, 2026.
