The institute is currently accepting applications for this two-year program, which is specifically designed for emerging and mid-career professionals aiming to lead in an AI-driven business world.

The EMBA program, offered in technical collaboration with TimesPro, emphasizes professionalizing management education with rigour and relevance. Program Structure and Features
The EMBA program for the 2026-28 Winter batch is a two-year curriculum that integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) across core management disciplines. It includes over 740 hours of interactive executive learning, providing learners with hands-on exposure to Agentic AI through an enterprise-grade learning platform. The program also incorporates electives spanning business and technology, an integrative Capstone Project, CXO masterclasses, and AI-led industry insight sessions.
A notable feature of the program is the inclusion of two immersive campus modules at IIM Visakhapatnam, alongside a global study tour in Denmark. The EMBA program uses a hybrid model of teaching-learning, combining online and in-person experiences. The EMBA 2025-27 batch previously had 144 professionals, and the incoming EMBA cohort for the 2026-28 Summer Intake has an average age of 34 years and over nine years of work experience, with women constituting nearly 30% of the batch.
Eligibility and Application Process
The EMBA program is open exclusively to Indian nationals residing in India. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2). The minimum aggregate marks required for the Bachelor’s Degree vary by category: 50% for Un-Reserved (UR), 45% for NC-OBC and EWS, and 40% for SC, ST, and PwD categories. Also, applicants must have a minimum of three years of post-qualification full-time work experience as of the application closing date. Part-time work experience, clerical experience, and apprenticeship are not considered eligible work experience. There is no age limit for applying to the program.
IIM Visakhapatnam adheres to the Government of India reservation policy for admission. Applicants must ensure they submit valid NC-OBC and EWS certificates issued after April 2026, if applicable.

Selection Procedure and Weightage
The selection process for the EMBA program comprises three stages. The first stage involves shortlisting candidates based on their eligibility criteria. Following this, shortlisted candidates proceed to the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) and a Personal Interview. Candidates holding valid CAT, GRE, or GMAT scores may be exempted from appearing in the EMAT.
The final composite score for admission is determined by a specific weightage system. The EMAT score contributes 47.5% to the final score, while the Personal Interview also holds a 47.5% weightage. An additional 5% weightage is allocated for Gender Diversity, benefiting female and transgender applicants. The EMBA 2026-28 B4 inauguration for the Summer Intake occurred on May 24, 2026, welcoming the fourth batch of the program.
