Choice 1: Accept, Pay, and Freeze

  • Who it is for: Candidates who got their preferred college/branch and do not want to participate in future rounds.

  • What happens next:

    1. Select Choice 1.

    2. Download the bank payment challan or pay via online gateway.

    3. Download the official Admission Order.

    4. Visit the allotted college with original documents before August 4, 2026, to finalize admission.

  • Caution: Once Choice 1 is selected, you are out of the DCET 2026 counselling pool.

Choice 2: Accept Provisionally & Upgrade in Round 2

  • Who it is for: Candidates who are happy with their current seat, but want to see if they can get a higher-preference option in Round 2.

  • What happens next:

    1. Pay the full tuition fee required for the Round 1 seat to hold it.

    2. You will enter Round 2 with your Round 1 seat safely reserved.

  • Outcome Scenarios:

    • If upgraded in Round 2: The Round 1 seat is automatically cancelled and given to another student. You get the new college.

    • If NOT upgraded in Round 2: Your Round 1 seat remains intact and belongs to you.

Choice 3: Reject Seat & Proceed to Round 2

  • Who it is for: Candidates who are unhappy with the college/branch allotted in Round 1 and prefer to take a risk for a better seat in the next round.

  • What happens next:

    1. Select Choice 3 (no fee payment required now).

    2. Your Round 1 seat is permanently forfeited and returned to the common seat pool.

    3. You enter Round 2 without any backed-up seat.

Choice 4: Exit KEA DCET Counselling
