Dibrugarh University BTech Admissions 2026: Round 1 Counselling on 10th July, Find Dates, Fees & More

The Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET) has started the Round 1 of counselling for Btech admissions, along with MTech, for the 2026-27 academic session. The Dibrugarh University Btech counselling 2026 round 1 will be conducted on July 17,2026 at Rangghar Auditorium, Dibrugarh University, beginning at 8:30 AM.  Last date to apply for DUIET Btech counselling 2026 Round 1 is 10 July 2026 with an application fee of Rs. 1,000. 

Candidates who have registered through the university admission portal, along with eligible Assam CEE 2026 and JEE Main 2026 candidates, can participate in the counselling. The university has also allowed eligible applicants to register through the on-the-spot registration facility on the counselling day.

Dibrugarh University BTech 2026 Round 1 Seat Matrix 

The university has released separate seat allocations for Assam CEE 2026 and JEE Main 2026 candidates across the four BTech programmes.

The seats are further distributed among General, OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H) and Endowment categories. The university has also clarified that if seats remain vacant in either the CEE or JEE quota, they may be converted to the other category as per the applicable admission rules. Similarly, unfilled reserved-category seats may be converted to open-category seats in accordance with university norms.

Eligibility Criteria for DU Btech 2026 Round 1 Counselling

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements to attend the Dibrugarh University BTech admission 2026 Round 1 counselling:

• Have submitted the online application through the Dibrugarh University admission portal.
• Possess a valid Assam CEE 2026 or JEE Main 2026 score.
• Candidates who have not registered earlier may also apply through the on-the-spot registration facility, subject to university rules.
• Produce all original academic and category certificates during document verification.

Admission will be granted strictly on the basis of merit and successful verification of original documents.

Dibrugarh University BTech Admission Fee 2026 

Candidates allotted seats must pay the prescribed admission fee on the day of counselling.

For candidates admitted under the Endowment Category, an additional one-time Endowment Fee of ₹2,00,000 is applicable along with the regular admission and semester fees. 

Besides, an application fee of Rs. 1,000 is applicable for all while applying for the counselling round.

Candidates must bring the following original documents along with photocopies wherever required:

• HSLC (Class 10) Admit Card
• HS (Class 12) Admit Card and Mark Sheet
• Assam CEE 2026 or JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
• Assam CEE 2026 or JEE Main 2026 Score Card
• Valid Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Valid EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
• Gap Certificate in the form of a Court Affidavit (for eligible candidates)
• Two recent passport-size photographs

Failure to produce the required documents may lead to cancellation of candidature during verification.

2. On the homepage, click on Apply for Admission to B. Tech. and M. Tech. Programmes. 
3. Click on ‘Click here to Apply’.
4. Create a new account using a valid email address and mobile number.
5. Complete the online application form by entering the required academic information and uploading the necessary documents.
6. Pay the application fee of Rs 1,000 through the available online payment options.
7. Review the details, submit the application form, and save a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
