Dibrugarh University has announced that the Round 1 counselling-cum-admission process for M.Tech admissions 2026-27 will be conducted on July 24, 2026 at the Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET). The counselling is open to candidates who have already registered through the university’s online admission portal as well as eligible applicants opting for the on-spot registration process. Candidates must repoort at 9 am at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Bhawan. Admissions will be offered to M.Tech programmes through a valid GATE score or the university’s entrance test, depending on the candidate’s eligibility.

4. Enter the required personal, academic, and GATE-related details in the application form.

Dibrugarh University M.Tech Admission 2026: Seat Allotment Process

Seat allotment will be carried out after the completion of document verification and, where applicable, the entrance examination. Admissions will be made:

• Strictly on the basis of merit.
• Subject to seat availability in each M.Tech specialisation.
• After successful verification of original certificates.
• In accordance with the reservation policy applicable to the university.

The official notification also provides the branch-wise intake for programmes such as Petroleum Engineering, Thermal and Fluid Engineering, Internet of Things and Sensor Systems, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Dibrugarh University M.Tech Admission 2026: GATE and Non-GATE Selection Criteria

Dibrugarh University will admit candidates through two modes:

• GATE-qualified candidates: Eligible applicants possessing a valid GATE score can participate directly in the counselling process according to the university’s admission guidelines.
• Non-GATE candidates: Applicants without a GATE score must appear for the university’s entrance test, which will be conducted on July 24 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The result of the entrance test will be declared at 12:30 PM, following which eligible candidates will participate in counselling.
