FMS Delhi MBA 2027-29 registration starts: apply by November 25

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, initiated the admission registration process for its MBA (Full Time) Programme for the 2027-2029 academic batch on October 26, 2026. Prospective candidates can submit their applications online through the official FMS website (www.fms.edu) until November 25, 2026.

This two-year full-time programme has 251 sanctioned seats, distributed across various categories. The admission process will consider CAT 2026 scores, academic performance, a Statement of Purpose discussion, an extempore speech, and a personal interview.

Application Process and Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in the FMS Delhi MBA programme must complete their online registration and pay the applicable fee by November 25, 2026. A prerequisite for application is a valid CAT 2026 registration number. The application fee for General and Other Categories is ₹1,000, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates are required to pay ₹350.

Regarding academic eligibility, unreserved category candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks after twelve years of schooling. SC/ST candidates need passing marks in their Bachelor’s Degree, while OBC Non-Creamy Layer, EWS, PwD, and CW candidates require 45% marks, as per University Rules. Candidates who are in their final year of a Bachelor’s Degree examination are also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure and Seat Distribution

The FMS Delhi MBA admission process involves multiple stages, beginning with shortlisting based on CAT 2026 scores. For shortlisting, CAT section scores are weighted as 40% for VARC, 30% for DILR, and 30% for QA. An additional 5 marks are awarded to women candidates during this shortlisting phase for the interview process. The final selection is determined by a detailed evaluation, including a weighted CAT 2026 score, academic performance in Class 10 and 12, a discussion on the Statement of Purpose, an extempore speech, and a Personal Interview.

The final selection criteria assign 50% weight to the Weighted CAT 2026 Score, 10% each to Class 10 and Class 12 marks, 10% to the Discussion on Statement of Purpose, 5% to Extempore, and 15% to the Personal Interview. Candidates achieving 60% or above but below 75% in Class 10 and Class 12 receive 5% weight for each component, while those with 75% or above receive the full 10% weight. Women candidates who appear for the interview will receive an additional 5 marks in the final selection. FMS Delhi has a total of 251 sanctioned seats for the MBA programme, with specific reservations for various categories.

Key Dates for Admissions

Following the application period, interviews for shortlisted candidates are scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd week of April 2027. The final results for the MBA admissions are expected to be declared in the 3rd or 4th week of April 2027. Separately, the application deadline for the PhD programme is November 21, 2026.
