KEAM 2026 Phase 2 Btech Option Confirmation Window Opens from 13-16 July

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has officially opened the online window for the KEAM 2026 BTech Phase 2 option confirmation process. Eligible candidates can apply from 13th – 16th July 2026. The KEAM 2026 BTech Phase 2 provisional allotment list will be released on 17th July 2026, followed by the final allotment list on 19th July 2026.

A major highlight of this round is that option confirmation is strictly mandatory. Both candidates who secured an allotment in Phase 1 and those who did not must log in and actively confirm their options to remain in the counselling pool.

Additionally, CEE Kerala has introduced two brand-new engineering courses into the Phase 2 option pool, giving candidates fresh choices. Simultaneously, the first phase of option registration for Architecture (B.Arch) courses has also commenced on the portal.

KEAM 2026 Counselling: Important Instructions for Candidates

To ensure a smooth transition and avoid losing your seat, keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. The “No-Regret” Rule: If you are allotted a higher-preference option in Phase 2, your Phase 1 seat is automatically and permanently cancelled. Only keep higher options on your list that you genuinely prefer over your current seat.
  2. Mandatory Confirmation Penalty: If you fail to click the “Confirm” button online by July 16, you will be entirely excluded from the Phase 2 allotment process (except for newly introduced colleges/courses if registered separately).
  3. First-Phase Fee Retention: If you received a Phase 1 seat, paid the token/acceptance fee, and do not get a new allotment in Phase 2, your Phase 1 seat remains safe—provided you completed the online option confirmation.
  4. Joining is Mandatory: If you receive a fresh allotment in Phase 2, you must physically report to the college between July 20 and July 24 to secure it. Failing to join will result in the loss of both your new seat and your previous Phase 1 seat.
