MAKAUT announces direct admission for UG, PG courses; apply by 20 August 2026

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), West Bengal, has issued a notification regarding in-house spot admissions for the academic session 2026-2027. However, certain programs are explicitly excluded from this direct admission scheme. These include B.Tech, B.Tech lateral entry, B.Pharm, B.Pharm lateral entry, M.Pharm, and MCA courses. The direct admission process for the academic session 2026-2027 is scheduled to be completed within a specific timeframe. According to the notification, direct admissions must be finalized between August 8, 2026, and August 20, 2026. For candidates aspiring to join MBA programs through this direct admission route, a crucial eligibility criterion has been established. Applicants must possess a valid rank or score card from one of the recognized management entrance examinations, specifically JEMAT, CAT, MAT, or CMAT.
