The online application window commenced on October 29, 2026, at 3 PM, and will remain accessible until November 18, 2026, at 11:55 PM, exclusively through the official NBEMS website.

This examination serves as the sole recognised entrance test for doctors aspiring to secure admission into DM, MCh, and DrNB Super Speciality courses across India for the 2026-27 academic session. The detailed instructions aim to smooth out the application process for this highly competitive examination.

Application Procedure and Key Details

The application process for NEET SS 2026 involves several mandatory steps. Candidates must first complete a new user registration, followed by accurately filling in their personal and academic details. This stage also requires uploading photographs and other necessary documents, selecting an examination city, paying the prescribed application fee, and finally submitting the completed form. You can’t ignore for applicants to exercise caution during registration, as specific details such as Name, Email ID, Aadhaar number, Mobile number, and Nationality cannot be altered once entered.

Following the initial registration, candidates can proceed to submit their applications by providing the required information and documents, and then remitting the examination fee. NBEMS will provide an ‘Edit Window’ for candidates to make modifications to their application forms. However, this window will not allow changes to the Name, Email, Aadhaar Number, Nationality, Exam City, or Mobile Number. Once this Edit Window closes, no further alterations to the application form will be permitted under any circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria and Important Dates

To be eligible for NEET SS 2026, candidates must possess an MD, MS, or DNB degree in an eligible feeder speciality. The cut-off date for the completion of the postgraduate qualification is April 30, 2026. Registration with either the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council is mandatory for all applicants. Foreign nationals, including OCI cardholders, are permitted to apply without prior NMC registration, but they are required to obtain temporary registration during the course of their studies. Candidates who are already enrolled in a DM, MCh, or DrNB program through NEET SS are not eligible to apply until they have completed their current program.

The NEET SS Admit card will be made available for download from December 22, 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the NBEMS and Counseling Authority websites for updates and to ensure their registered email IDs are functional and have sufficient storage capacity for communications.
