Shiv Nadar University today, 16 October 2026, opened registrations for undergraduate (UG) admissions for the 2027-28 academic year. Prospective students can apply for various undergraduate programs at both the Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR and Shiv Nadar University, Chennai campuses.
The admission process involves an application fee, an admission fee, and a university caution deposit. Specific programs also require a Career Development Cell (CDC) fee. The university offers various scholarships based on academic merit and entrance exam performance.
Application and Admission Fees
The application process requires a one-time, non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,500. Upon admission, a one-time, non-refundable admission fee of Rs. 20,000 is applicable for all UG programs. Also, a refundable University Caution Deposit of Rs. 20,000 is required. Students enrolling in B.Tech, B.Com, B.Com (Professional Accounting), and B.Sc. Economics (Data Science) programs must also pay a one-time, non-refundable Career Development Cell (CDC) Fee of Rs. 6,000.

Tuition Fee Structure for Indian Nationals
The annual tuition fees for Indian Nationals vary by program. For B.Tech programs such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Information Technology, the fee is Rs. 3,50,000 per annum. Other B.Tech programs, including Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering, have an annual tuition fee of Rs. 3,00,000. B.Com, B.Com (Professional Accounting), and B.Sc. Economics (Data Science) also have a tuition fee of Rs. 3,00,000 per annum. The B.A., LL.B. program has the highest annual tuition fee for Indian Nationals at Rs. 4,95,000.

Hostel and Transport Fees
For students opting for on-campus accommodation, a refundable Hostel Caution Deposit of Rs. 27,500 is required. Hostel room rents vary based on room type, with a shared room costing Rs. 85,000 and an Air Conditioned Furnished Single Room with Balcony and Attached Toilet costing Rs. 1,95,000 plus electricity charges per annum. The Transport Fee for an AC Bus is Rs. 82,000 per annum. University fees, as well as hostel and transport fees, are subject to an increase of up to 5% every subsequent year of study at SNU Chennai, or in line with costs, respectively.

Admission Process and Scholarships
It is mandatory for applicants to appear for the SNU Chennai Entrance Exam (SNUCEE) for B.Tech, B.Com, and B.Sc Economics (Data Science) programs. Candidates with a JEE Main score of a minimum of 90 percentile may be called directly for an interview. The first phase of the entrance exam for the 2026-27 academic year was held on 11 April 2026, with the final phase on 9 May 2026. The last date for applying and SNUCEE slot selection was 13 days prior to each exam date, subject to availability.
Shiv Nadar University offers various scholarships. The School Topper’s Scholarship provides a 100% tuition fee waiver for all four years for the top 10 performers in the B.A. (Research) in Interdisciplinary Humanities & Social Sciences (IHS) program. For other programs, a School Topper’s Scholarship may offer a 100% tuition fee waiver, requiring a minimum of 98% aggregate in the Class 12th Board examination. A Merit-Based Scholarship, offering a 50% tuition fee waiver, requires a minimum of 95% aggregate in Class 12 marks (minimum 40 for IB and A* for Cambridge board).
Dual Degree Programs and Eligibility
The university also offers Dual Degree Programs with Arizona State University (ASU), where students study the first two years at Shiv Nadar University Delhi NCR and the last two years at ASU, USA. The approximate tuition fee for two years at ASU is $90,000, with living expenses estimated at $30,000, both subject to change. Eligibility criteria for various programs at Shiv Nadar University Delhi-NCR generally require an aggregate of all subjects in the Class 12th marksheet to be 65% or above, with specific subject requirements depending on the program.
