SSC JE, CPO 2026 exam dates revised; check new schedule for November-December

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced revised examination dates for the Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2026 and the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CPO) Examination 2026. These national-level recruitment exams are now scheduled to take place across November and December 2026, affecting thousands of aspirants.

The Commission issued a notice on October 27, 2026, updating the schedule previously announced. All major examinations under the revised calendar, including the JE and CPO exams, will be conducted in Computer-Based Examination (CBE) mode, aiming to provide a structured timeline for candidates.

Revised Examination Schedule for Je and CPO 2026

The SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2026, Paper-I, which is a Computer-Based Examination, has been rescheduled to be held in two phases. The first phase is set for November 2 to November 6, 2026, followed by a second phase from November 30 to December 1, 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,748 temporary Junior Engineer posts across various departments.

Similarly, the Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2026, also known as the SSC CPO examination, will be conducted from November 23 to November 28, 2026. This CBE mode examination seeks to fill 1,871 vacancies for Sub-Inspector positions. Candidates are advised to check the revised dates to plan their preparation accordingly.

Updates on SSC CHSL 2026 and Candidate Instructions

Besides the JE and CPO exams, the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) 2026 Tier-I examination is proposed for November 30 to December 31, 2026. The application period for SSC CHSL 2026 concluded on October 7, 2026, with the correction window open from October 14 to October 16, 2026. Approximately 2,536 posts are to be filled under this recruitment drive.

The Staff Selection Commission has advised all candidates preparing for these examinations to refer to the revised schedule before making any plans. Candidates are also encouraged to visit the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in, at regular intervals for any further updates or additional information regarding the examination schedule.
