UP NEET MDS 2026: Download allotment letter & complete admission by Oct 17

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, declared the merit list for the third round of online counselling for UP NEET MDS 2026 on October 8, 2026. This round supports admission to state quota Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats in government and private dental colleges and universities across Uttar Pradesh.

The counselling process, which commenced with online registrations on October 6, 2026, is a continuation of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi’s framework for NEET MDS admissions. Admission is strictly based on NEET MDS 2026 merit rank through a centralized online counselling portal, upneet.gov.in.

UP NEET MDS Round 3 Counselling Schedule

The DGME, Uttar Pradesh, issued the time schedule for the Third Round of Online Counselling for UP NEET MDS 2026 on October 5, 2026. The online registration process for this round began on October 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM, concluding on October 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The deadline for depositing the registration and security fees was October 8, 2026, up to 2:00 PM.

Following the declaration of the merit list on October 8, 2026, candidates were able to fill their choices online from October 8, 2026, at 5:00 PM until October 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The Third Round Seat Allotment Result was subsequently declared on October 12, 2026. Candidates who have been allotted seats are required to download their allotment letters and complete the admission process at their respective institutions between October 13 and October 17, 2026.

Eligibility and Counselling Process Overview

To be eligible for UP NEET MDS 2026 counselling, candidates must have qualified for NEET MDS 2026, hold a recognized BDS degree, have completed a compulsory internship, and possess valid Dental Council registration. The counselling process is conducted entirely online by the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Uttar Pradesh. It involves several stages: online registration, payment of registration and security fees, release of a state merit list, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and finally, reporting to the allotted college.

Uttar Pradesh conducts a total of four counselling rounds for MDS admissions: Round 1, Round 2, a Mop-Up Round, and a Stray Vacancy Round. Previous Counselling Rounds and Fee Structure

The first round of UP NEET MDS 2026 counselling saw its merit list released on August 31, 2026. Choice filling and locking for Round 1 took place from September 1, 2026, to September 7, 2026, with the seat allotment result declared on September 7, 2026. Details for Round 2, Mop-Up, and Stray Vacancy rounds are to be updated by the DGME.

Admission to MDS seats in Uttar Pradesh is exclusively through the DGME’s centralized counselling portal. Uttar Pradesh does not maintain a separate NRI quota under state MDS counselling. Private colleges are generally open to all eligible NEET MDS-qualified candidates as per state norms. Estimated fees for government dental colleges range from ₹1 to ₹3 Lakhs, while private dental colleges typically charge between ₹5 and ₹12 Lakhs. Hostel fees are approximately ₹1 to ₹2 Lakhs.
