AEEE 2027 exam dates announced: April and May for B.Tech admissions

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham today announced that the Amrita Entrance Examination for Engineering (AEEE) 2027 will be conducted in April and May of 2027. This university-level entrance examination is held annually for admission to the institution’s B.Tech programs.
The AEEE exam is conducted exclusively in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Admission to B.Tech courses at Amrita School of Engineering can also be secured with a valid JEE (Main) score, with the best of AEEE and JEE Main scores being considered for admission. Historically, 70% of seats are assigned based on AEEE results and 30% based on JEE Main scores.
AEEE 2027 Application and Eligibility Criteria
The application fee for candidates applying for AEEE only or for both AEEE and JEE is Rs. 1300. For those applying through JEE Main only, the fee is Rs. 500. An additional fee of Rs. 600 is charged for applicants for Phase 2 who have already appeared in Phase 1 of the examination.
To be eligible for the B.Tech program, candidates must have passed the 10+2 level from a recognized board or university. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are mandatory subjects in the qualifying examination. Candidates must achieve an aggregate of 60% marks in PCM and 50% marks in each individual PCM subject. Furthermore, candidates’ date of birth must fall on or after 1st July 2005.

Exam Structure and Admission Process
The AEEE exam covers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and basic English. The official cutoffs for AEEE 2027 will be published during the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP) counselling, which is scheduled for May–June 2027. The university has multiple campuses across India for its engineering programs.
Previous AEEE exams have been conducted in multiple phases. For instance, the AEEE 2026 Phase 2 exams were conducted from 21st April 2026 to 30th April 2026, in three shifts each day: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM, and 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM. The AEEE 2025 Phase 2 exam was scheduled from 7th May to 11th May 2025.
Historical Application and Exam Schedules
Reviewing past schedules provides context for the upcoming AEEE 2027. The application form for AEEE 2017 was available from 1st December 2016, with a submission deadline of 31st March 2017. The online exam for AEEE 2017 was conducted from 20th April to 23rd April 2017, followed by an offline test on 29th April 2017. Ranks for AEEE 2017 were declared on 5th May.
More recently, the AEEE 2026 application form became available on 30th October 2025, with the last date to submit the registration form being 21st January 2026. Phase 1 exams for AEEE 2026 were held from 30th January to 1st February 2026, and Phase 2 exams from 24th to 30th April 2026.
