This national-level computer-based entrance examination is conducted for admission to the university’s B.Tech programmes.

The application process for AEEE 2027 is scheduled to begin in November 2026. Interested applicants can apply through the official AEEE admission portal once registrations open. The admission process encompasses AEEE 2027 registration, slot booking, admit card download, the entrance examination itself, and subsequent participation in the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP).

Eligibility Criteria and Admission Process

To be eligible for AEEE 2027, candidates must be citizens of India, though foreign nationals are also eligible. Academically, applicants must have achieved a minimum aggregate score of 60% in their 12th grade examination, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as primary subjects. In addition, candidates are required to secure an individual minimum score of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Admission to the B.Tech programmes at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is determined by either the AEEE rank or the JEE Main percentile. According to the university, 70% of the total seats are allotted based on AEEE scores, while the remaining 30% of seats are filled using valid JEE Main ranks. Candidates who have qualified the JEE Main exam with a valid passing score are also eligible to apply for admission.

AEEE 2027 Examination Pattern

The AEEE 2027 examination will be a computer-based test conducted in English, with a total duration of two hours and thirty minutes. The paper will comprise 100 multiple-choice questions, covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. Each correct answer will be awarded three marks, while one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

In the 2026 admission cycle, the AEEE examination was conducted in two phases: the first from January 29 to February 1, 2026, and the second during the last week of April 2026. The seat allotment process for the 2026 cycle took place in May 2026. The application fee structure for AEEE 2026 varied based on the admission route.

For the 2026 cycle, the application fee for admission solely through AEEE was INR 1300. Candidates applying through JEE Main had a fee of INR 500, while those opting for admission through both AEEE and JEE Main paid INR 1300. The AEEE 2026 notification was released on October 29, 2025, with registrations opening in November 2025.
