UP NEET MDS 2026 round 3 counselling registration open until October 8

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has opened the registration window for the third round of online counselling for UP NEET MDS 2026. The registration process, which commenced on October 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM, will conclude on October 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM. This round aims to fill state quota Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) seats in government and private dental colleges and universities across Uttar Pradesh.

The official notice regarding the Third Round of Online Counselling for UP NEET MDS 2026 was issued by the DGME on October 5, 2026. Admission to MDS courses through this counselling is strictly based on the NEET MDS 2026 merit rank, which was declared in May 2026 following the exam on May 2, 2026. The counselling process is being conducted online via the official portals, upneet.gov.in and dgme.up.gov.in.

UP NEET MDS Round 3 Key Dates and Process

Candidates participating in the third round must complete their online registration and deposit the registration and security fees by October 8, 2026. The deadline for fee payment is 2:00 PM on October 8, 2026. Following this, the merit list for the third round will be declared on the same day. Online choice filling will then be available from 5:00 PM on October 8, 2026, until 11:00 AM on October 12, 2026.

The Third Round Seat Allotment Result is scheduled for declaration on October 12, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must download their allotment letters and complete the admission formalities between October 13 and October 17, 2026. This counselling round follows the completion of Round 1 and Round 2 for UP NEET MDS 2026. The registration fee for UP NEET UG Round 3 is Rs 2,000 (non-refundable), while security money for private BDS seats is Rs 1,00,000.

Coordination with MCC Counselling Schedule

The UP NEET MDS 2026 Round 3 counselling schedule aligns with the timetable released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, for NEET MDS admissions. The MCC is responsible for conducting online counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats, as well as 100% Deemed/Central Universities/AFMS seats. The MCC’s Round 3 registration and payment window was from October 3 to October 7, 2026, with choice filling concluding on October 8, 2026.

The MCC’s seat allotment processing for Round 3 is scheduled from October 8 to October 9, 2026, with results expected between October 10 and October 11, 2026. Reporting and joining for MCC Round 3 are slated for October 12 to October 19, 2026. The state counselling for UP NEET MDS 2026 has commenced after revised results were received from NBEMS, following a 10 percentile reduction in eligibility criteria.

Following the third round, the MCC has also released the schedule for a Stray Vacancy Round for NEET 50% AIQ and 100% Deemed/Central Universities/AFMS seats for MDS 2026. Registration for the Stray Vacancy Round is scheduled from October 22 to October 26, 2026, with choice filling from October 23 to October 27, 2026. The result for this round is expected on October 29, 2026, and reporting/joining from October 30 to November 5, 2026.
