The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened online registration for Karnataka NEET PG 2026 counselling (PGET) for admission to postgraduate medical courses. The registration window commenced on October 5, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications without a late fee until October 15, 2026. The counselling process is for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB programmes across government, private, and minority medical colleges in Karnataka.

Candidates who qualified NEET PG 2026 are eligible to apply through the official KEA portal, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/pgneet2026. Round 1 of document verification is scheduled to begin from October 8, 2026, onwards. Eligibility Criteria and Seat Distribution

To be eligible for Karnataka NEET PG counselling, candidates must hold a valid rank or score in NEET PG 2026 and possess an MBBS degree. They must also have completed a one-year compulsory internship by the cut-off date of August 2026. Candidates must be citizens of India, with NRI/OCI/PIO/foreign national candidates applying under the NRI quota.

Karnataka candidates are eligible for Government Quota (State Seats), Private Quota (Govt-Nominated), and Open/Private, Management & NRI Seats. Non-Karnataka candidates are eligible for open seats and the NRI quota. The counselling covers seats under Government (State) quota, Private quota, NRI quota, and Management quota. Karnataka splits its seats into domicile-restricted government quota and open (all-India) seats. A candidate qualifies as a Karnataka candidate if they completed MBBS from a Karnataka institution or studied for the required number of academic years in Karnataka.
