The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released the NEET PG 2026 counselling schedule on October 7, 2026, to support admissions for postgraduate medical education. This centralized counselling process is crucial for MBBS graduates seeking to pursue MD, MS, and PG Diploma programmes across India.
The counselling covers 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, ESIC medical colleges, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), and other participating institutes. NEET PG 2026 Counselling Schedule and Process

Eligibility Criteria and Required Documents
To be eligible for NEET PG 2026 counselling, candidates must have qualified the NEET PG 2026 exam with minimum cutoff marks. In addition, they must hold an MBBS degree or a provisional pass certificate approved by the National Medical Commission or Medical Council of India. Candidates are also required to have completed their internship or be expected to complete it by the deadlines set by the MCC and state counselling authorities.
A thorough set of documents is required for the counselling process. These cover the NEET PG 2026 Scorecard/Rank Letter, MBBS Degree Certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, Medical Registration Certificate, Identity Proof, Passport-size Photographs, and relevant Category/Disability Certificates. The MCC also issued a notice for PwD assessment for PG Round 1 2026 and received final guidelines regarding Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) from NMC on September 16, 2026.
