The Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Manipur, commenced Round 3 registration for NEET-UG 2026 qualified candidates on October 8, 2026. This round is the final counselling opportunity for the 2026–27 academic session for admission to medical and dental undergraduate programmes across Manipur and Northeast India. Candidates must complete their registration and lock their preferences by October 11, 2026.

This final phase aims to fill remaining MBBS, BDS, and BASLP seats. The counselling process is managed by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Manipur, and is based on the NEET UG 2026 results. The National Medical Commission’s (NMC) 2026–27 MBBS seat matrix indicates 550 MBBS seats across four medical colleges in Manipur, comprising 400 government and 150 private seats, alongside 100 BDS seats.
Manipur NEET UG Round 3 Counselling Schedule and Process
The registration and choice filling window for Round 3 will close on October 11, 2026. Following this, the merit lists are scheduled for announcement on October 14, 2026. Successful candidates will then need to report physically to their allotted colleges on October 14 and 15, 2026. There is no ‘Float’ or ‘Freeze’ option available for this final round.
Candidates who previously registered in Round 1 or Round 2 are not required to register again but must submit fresh choices. Failure to lock choices by the deadline will lead to exclusion from the Round 3 merit list preparation. The counselling process for the 85% state quota seats also requires candidates to be 17 years old by December 31, 2026, and possess a valid Manipur permanent resident certificate for state quota eligibility.

Fees and Eligibility Criteria for Round 3
Fresh registration for Round 3 requires payment of a non-refundable application fee. All candidates, including those previously registered, must also pay a refundable security deposit of ₹15,000. Previously registered candidates are exempt from paying the application fee again but must ensure their security deposit is in place. The Directorate will issue a separate notification detailing the exact number of available seats per category and college.
Eligibility for counselling includes passing Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% PCB for the General category, 40% PCB for OBC/SC/ST, and 45% PCB for PwD (General). Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 with the required cutoff percentile. A medical fitness certificate may be required during the admission process.

Round 3 offers seats across five major medical institutions in Manipur and Northeast India. These include Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) Imphal, Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS) Langol, Churachandpur Medical College (CMC) Imphal, and RDC Guwahati. The available courses are MBBS, BDS, and BASLP.
Seats are distributed across State Government Quota, Management Quota, and NRI Quota categories. For instance, SAHS Langol offers MBBS under Government, Management, and NRI quotas, while RIMS Imphal and JNIMS Imphal primarily offer seats under Government Quota.
