The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has released the tentative schedule for the Mop-Up Round of MP State Combined National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Counselling for the academic year 2026. This round is for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in the state, with fresh registrations commencing on September 28, 2026.

This Mop-Up Round provides another opportunity for NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates to secure MBBS and BDS seats. It is an important stage for candidates who did not secure a seat in Round 1 or Round 2, those who surrendered or resigned from allotted seats, and eligible fresh candidates who could not complete registration earlier. Previous counselling rounds for the 2026 academic session have already concluded, with Round 1 admissions complete and the Second Round reporting closing on September 18, 2026.

MOP-UP ROUND Registration and Choice Filling

Fresh registration for eligible NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates began on September 28, 2026, and will continue until October 2, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Candidates who have already registered in previous rounds are not required to register again. Following the registration period, the Revised State Merit List of registered candidates and the Eligible Candidates List will be published on October 3, 2026. The vacancy list will also be released on the same day.

Choice filling and choice locking for the Mop-Up Round will take place from October 4 to October 7, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. Fresh choice filling is mandatory for all candidates participating in this round. The official portal for counselling is dme.mponline.gov.in.

Key Dates for MP NEET UG MOP-UP ROUND 2026

The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Bhopal, issued the schedule, outlining the critical dates for candidates to follow. The Mop-Up Round allotment result is scheduled to be declared on October 10, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must report in person to their respective Medical/Dental College for document verification and admission between October 11 and October 14, 2026, up to 6:00 PM. Failure to report by 5:00 PM on October 14, 2026, will lead to automatic cancellation of allotment and forfeiture of the security deposit.

As per rule 15 (1) (T), a Seat Leaving Bond will be applicable to candidates who resign after the commencement of the Mop-Up Round. Government medical seats are strictly reserved for Madhya Pradesh Domicile candidates, while non-domicile candidates can register for private medical/dental college seats subject to state policy and availability.
