Yashvita, who had completed her MBBS degree, had been preparing for the NEET PG 2026 examination for seven months, residing in a private hostel in Hyderabad. Police informed PTI that she allegedly died by suicide on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The inspector further informed TOI that Yashvita consumed an unknown poison, and a suicide note was recovered from her room.

The official further informed PTI that Yashvita had spoken with her father on the morning of the incident. Her father had told her they would visit and take her to the exam centre the following day. When she then did not answer his phone calls, her father contacted the hostel staff, who then found her unconscious in her room. She was immediately shifted to a hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

Suicide Note Reveals Long-Term Mental Health Struggle

The suicide note recovered by the police offers crucial insight into Yashvita’s state of mind. Based on what the inspector who spoke to TOI, Yashvita wrote that she had been suffering from depression and anxiety since her intermediate days, which typically refers to Classes 11 and 12.
