The government clarified that the disruptions faced at Sitapura test centres in Jaipur were due to internal power supply issues, which led to server glitches and computers repeatedly shutting down. “The government has debunked a post circulating on social media which claimed that the NEET PG exam question papers were leaked in Jaipur,” stated the Government, further adding, “The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau has said that the claim is misleading as there has been no question paper leak in the NEET PG examination.”

Students at the ION Digital Zone centre in Sitapura reported that their examination computers shut down up to 10 times within two hours. ACP Lalit Sharma confirmed that the server at the centre was not functioning properly, leading to a situation where “Some candidates’ computers opened while others did not, causing disruption to the examination.” This technical malfunction, rather than any paper leak, was the sole cause of the examination being cancelled at the affected centre.

For the candidates impacted by the technical issues in Jaipur, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has rescheduled the NEET PG 2026 examination. The re-examination for these affected students will now be conducted on September 5, next month. Specifically, ACP Sharma stated, “The exam will be conducted again on September 5, 3pm.”

A total of 2,445 candidates were affected by the internal power supply issues at the Sitapura test centres. The original examination, scheduled from 9 am to 12:30 pm today, August 31, 2026, experienced delays, with the exam starting around 10 am for some candidates before the eventual cancellation.
