NEET-PG 2026: Download scorecards from Oct 1; general cut-off 262 marks

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) today, September 24, 2026, declared the results and cut-off marks for the NEET-PG 2026 examination. The general category cut-off has been set at 262 marks.

These results are for admission to MD, MS, DNB, DrNB (direct six-year courses), and PG Medical Diploma courses across the country. The examination saw 2,63,544 candidates participate on August 30, 2026, with a re-examination conducted for a smaller group of candidates.

NEET-PG 2026 Cut-Offs and Examination Details

The NEET-PG 2026 examination was initially conducted on August 30, 2026. A re-examination was next held on September 5, 2026, for 2,416 candidates in Jaipur. This re-examination was necessary after candidates at two test centres in Jaipur were unable to complete their examination due to an internal power failure.

The NEET-PG 2026 rank has been determined based on the actual marks scored by candidates and applicable tie-breaking criteria. NBEMS stated that each question in both NEET-PG 2026 question papers was reviewed by faculty members from concerned speciality areas after the examination, and no questions were found to be technically incorrect.

Accessing Scorecards and Answer Keys

Individual scorecards for candidates will be made available for download from the official NBEMS website starting October 1, 2026. These scorecards will remain accessible for download for a period of six months from their date of issue.

Also, the answer key for NEET-PG 2026 will be published on the NBEMS website on or after October 1, 2026. This answer key will allow candidates to access question ID numbers, correct answer key IDs, their marked responses, and scores for individual questions.

Provisional Candidature and State Merit Lists

The candidature of all candidates remains provisional and is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria as outlined in the NEET-PG 2026 Information Bulletin. NBEMS also stated that candidates found using unfair means at any stage would be liable for penal action, and their results or candidature could be cancelled.

The final merit list and category-wise merit lists for state quota seats will be prepared by the respective states and Union Territories. These states and Union Territories will prepare their merit lists according to their specific eligibility criteria, applicable guidelines, and reservation policies.
