NEET UG 2026 special stray round registration, choice filling for MBBS, BDS ends today

The registration and choice filling window for the Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 Special Stray Round for admission to MBBS and BDS courses will close today, November 5, 2026. Candidates aspiring for seats under the Chhattisgarh state counselling process must complete their applications and select their preferred institutions online at cgdme.admissions.nic.in by 11:59 PM server time.

This special stray round is being conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education to fill remaining vacant seats in private medical colleges and government and private dental colleges, following the conclusion of the previous Stray Vacancy Round. The schedule for this round was issued in accordance with the timetable released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on November 2, 2026.

Special Stray Round Counselling Process

The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh, released a notice on November 2, 2026, detailing the Special Stray Vacancy Round counselling. The process invites fresh online applications from eligible candidates and also requires previously registered eligible candidates to submit their online institution choices again, as choices submitted in earlier rounds are now invalid. Candidates who do not submit their choices within the prescribed schedule will not be considered for seat allotment.

The entire counselling process, including registration fee payment, institution and course selection, and choice locking, must be completed by the candidates themselves. The Directorate will provide a free application editing facility for fresh applicants and previously registered eligible candidates until the registration deadline. However, certain details, such as entries directly obtained from examination result data, registered mobile number, and email address, cannot be changed.

Key Dates for Special Stray Round

The schedule for the Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 Special Stray Round counselling commenced on November 3, 2026, and concludes today. All timings are based on server time.

Candidates who previously registered only for Government Medical Colleges but now wish to select private medical colleges must pay an additional registration amount. Seat allotment in government and private medical and dental colleges is carried out by the Counselling Committee constituted by the Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh.

Registration Fee Forfeiture Rules

Specific rules regarding the forfeiture of the registration amount apply to candidates participating in this round. If a candidate receives a seat allotment but does not take admission, the deposited registration amount will be forfeited. Similarly, the registration amount will also be forfeited if a candidate takes admission and after that vacates the allotted seat.

Candidates are responsible for any cancellation of registration or allotment resulting from incomplete or incorrect information. If seats remain vacant after the Special Stray Vacancy Round, further seat allotment may be conducted based on the merit list and submitted choices, according to the authorities.
