MOP UP Round Schedule and Participation
The MOP UP Round saw specific timelines for various activities. Registration for newly eligible candidates for this round was conducted from September 28 to October 2, 2026. Following this, the Revised Merit & Eligible List for the MOP UP Round was published on October 3, 2026. Eligibility and Reservation Policies
To be eligible for MP NEET UG Counselling 2026, candidates must be between 17 and 25 years old and must have qualified the NEET UG 2026 examination. Educational requirements include passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, with a minimum of 50% marks for the general category and 40% for reserved categories. Only residents of Madhya Pradesh are eligible for the state quota, which accounts for 85% of the NEET UG seats, with the remaining 15% allocated under the All India Quota.
The counselling process incorporates various reservation percentages to ensure equitable access. These include 20% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 16% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 14% for Other Backward Classes (NCL), and 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Horizontal reservations are also in place, with 30% for Women Candidates, 3% for Freedom Fighter Quota, 3% for Defence Personnel Quota, 5% for Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and 5% for Government School Quota. The counselling registration fee, if applicable, is ₹250.

Previous Counselling Rounds and MMMVY MBBS Benefit
The MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 commenced with Round 1, for which the seat allotment result was released on August 24, 2026. Reporting and admissions for Round 1 took place from August 25 to September 3, 2026. Next, the Round 2 Seat Allotment Result was released on September 11, 2026, with reporting and admissions concluding on September 18, 2026.
The state also offers the MMMVY MBBS benefit scheme, applicable from the academic session 2025–26. Under this scheme, candidates with a NEET All India Rank within 1,50,000 may receive scholarship or fee reimbursement up to the prescribed maximum fee of a Madhya Pradesh Government Medical College. For private colleges, the remaining eligible regulated fee may be provided as an interest-free Government loan. This loan can be proportionately reduced or even extinguished upon completion of a prescribed 5-year service in Madhya Pradesh or rural areas after MBBS graduation.
