The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, released the seat matrix for the NEET UG 2026 Mop-Up Round on October 3, 2026. This release, available on dme.mponline.gov.in, aims to fill the remaining MBBS and BDS seats across government and private medical and dental colleges in the state.

The Mop-Up Round is a final opportunity for candidates who have not secured admission in previous rounds of the MP NEET UG Counselling 2026. The counselling process, conducted online by the Department of Public Health and Medical Education, covers 20 government and 14 private MBBS colleges, along with 1 government and 14 private BDS colleges in Madhya Pradesh.

MOP-UP Round Vacancies and Schedule

The seat matrix for the NEET UG 2026 Mop-Up Round indicates a total of 1,132 vacancies. Of these, 440 seats are available in government MBBS and BDS colleges, while 692 vacancies are in private MBBS and BDS institutions. Candidates eligible for this round must complete fresh choice filling and locking between October 4 and October 7, 2026, up to 11:59 PM, as choices from previous rounds will not be carried forward.

The Mop-Up Round seat allotment result is scheduled for October 10, 2026. Following the allotment, candidates are required to report to their respective colleges for document verification and admission from October 11 to October 14, 2026, by 6:00 PM. The fresh registration window for eligible candidates was open from September 28 to October 2, 2026.

Eligibility and Candidate Lists

The revised merit list and seat matrix were published on October 3, 2026. The revised merit list of MP State registered candidates, after fresh registration, includes 17,146 candidates. From this, the list of eligible candidates for the Mop-Up Round comprises 13,104 individuals. The highest score recorded in this merit list is 696 out of 720, while the lowest score is 177 out of 720.

Among the 13,104 eligible candidates, 7,404 are female and 5,700 are male. Candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 and are included in the revised state merit list, along with fresh registrants who completed their process between September 28 and October 2, 2026, are eligible. NRI candidates and All India Quota (AIQ) aspirants meeting Madhya Pradesh state domicile rules are also eligible. However, candidates who have already secured admission in Round 2 are not eligible to upgrade their seats through this Mop-Up Round.

Previous Counselling Rounds Overview

The NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted on June 21, 2026, with results declared on July 16, 2026. The MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 commenced with Round 1 registration from August 5 to August 13, 2026. The Round 1 seat allotment result was released on August 24, 2026. After that, Round 2 registration and application modification occurred from September 5 to September 6, 2026, and the Round 2 seat allotment result was released on September 11, 2026.

The Second-Round resignation window was open from September 22 to October 1, 2026, up to 6:00 PM. The counselling process distributes seats through All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota, with 85% reserved for the state government and 15% for AIQ. The entire counselling process covers approximately 5000 seats across 30 medical colleges and 14 dental colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
