Bihar UGMAC 2026 Round 3 seat matrix out, registration open until October 6

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) released the Round 3 seat matrix for Bihar UGMAC 2026 on October 3, 2026. Concurrently, the registration and application cum choice filling process for the Undergraduate Medical Admission Counselling 2026 (UGMAC 2026) Round 3 commenced on the same day.

Eligible candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical and related courses in Bihar, based on vacancies remaining after earlier counselling rounds, can complete their registration and application process until October 6, 2026, with the deadline for submission set at 11:59 PM. The UGMAC 2026 counselling process, conducted entirely online by the BCECEB, covers admissions to undergraduate courses including MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc. and A.H., and B.F.Sc. for the 2026–27 academic session.

UGMAC 2026 Round 3 Schedule and Key Dates

The BCECEB notice regarding Round 3, dated September 30, 2026, outlined the complete schedule for the current counselling phase. Following the close of registration and application on October 6, the Round 3 rank card is scheduled to be released on October 8, 2026. Candidates will then have until October 9, 2026, up to 11:59 PM, to complete choice filling, editing, and locking their preferences.

The provisional Round 3 seat allotment result is scheduled for release on October 14, 2026. Later, candidates can download their provisional seat allotment order between October 14 and October 17. Document verification and the final admission process for allotted candidates are slated for October 16 and October 17, 2026.

Previous Counselling Rounds and Seat Additions

Prior to the commencement of Round 3, candidates who participated in Round 1 or Round 2 and intended to resign or withdraw from their earlier allotted seats had a separate window between October 1 and October 2. The Round 2 provisional seat allotment result was published on September 24, 2026, with document verification and admission for Round 2 candidates conducted from September 26 to September 28, 2026.

The Round 2 counselling saw significant changes, including the addition of K. K. Medical College & Hospital, Rajgir, Nalanda, as a new private medical college. Also, Himalaya Medical College & Hospital, Paliganj, Patna, had 50 additional MBBS seats added for Round 2 counselling. The revised Round 2 seat matrix listed a total of 1,295 seats across all courses, comprising 1,167 MBBS seats (323 Government, 844 Private), 51 BDS seats, 49 B.V.Sc. & A.H. seats, and 28 B.F.Sc. seats. Government Medical College, Chapra, and Shri Ram Janki Medical College & Hospital, Samastipur, each showed 42 seats in the revised Round 2 matrix. The UGMAC Rank Card for Round 2 was released on September 19, 2026, and the last date for Round 2 choice filling, editing, and locking was September 20, 2026.

Counselling Scope and Further Information

The Bihar NEET UG counselling 2026, managed by the BCECEB through its official portal bceceboard.bihar.gov.in, handles 85% of the state quota seats in government colleges and 100% of seats in private/minority colleges. The process is merit-based, considering NEET UG rank, preferences, category-based reservations, and domicile requirements.
