The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the registration process for the Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM-2026 July Semester) examination. Aspiring candidates can submit their applications through the official NTA SWAYAM website, exams.nta.nic.in/swayam/.

The registration window for the SWAYAM July 2026 semester exam is currently live, with the final date for application submission set for October 31, 2026. The examinations are slated to be conducted on December 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2026, covering 662 courses offered through the SWAYAM platform.

Application Process and Key Dates

The application process requires candidates to visit the official NTA SWAYAM portal, register, fill out the application form, and complete the fee payment. Following successful submission, applicants should download and retain the confirmation page for future reference. It is mandatory for candidates to use the same email ID throughout the course duration for both enrollment and examination registration.

The NTA has also specified dates for fee payment and application corrections. The last date for the successful transaction of the examination fee is November 1, 2026. A correction window will be provided from November 2 to November 3, 2026, allowing candidates to make necessary amendments to their submitted applications.

Examination Structure and Fees

The SWAYAM-2026 July Semester examination will be a computer-based test, conducted in two shifts daily: from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The medium of the question paper will be English only, besides language-specific papers. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers in the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) sections of the exam.

Candidates are required to select four choices for their examination centers during the application process. The examination fee varies based on the candidate’s category and the number of courses they apply for. For General (UR) candidates, the fee is ₹750 for one course and ₹600 for each additional course. Candidates belonging to the Gen-EWS/OBC-(NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/PwBD categories will pay ₹500 for one course and ₹400 for each additional course.

About SWAYAM and NTA

SWAYAM, an initiative by the Government of India, aims to achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy: access, equity, and quality. It provides an integrated platform for online courses ranging from Class 9 to 12, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, with over 2,000 Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) hosted on the platform. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have issued the ‘Credit Framework for online learning courses through SWAYAM, Regulation 2016’, which allows up to 20% of online courses taken through SWAYAM to be counted for academic credit.

Document Specifications for Application

Applicants must ensure that their uploaded documents adhere to the specified formats and sizes. A recent passport-size photograph should be in JPG/JPEG format, with a file size between 10 kb and 200 kb, depicting 80% of the face visible against a white background. The scanned signature file must also be in JPG/JPEG format, with a size ranging from 10 kb to 50 kb. If applicable, a scanned copy of the PwD/PwBD/UDID certificate should be in PDF format, with a file size between 50 kb and 300 kb.
