CSEET October 2026: Download admit card by late September for Oct 1-6 exam

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has concluded the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) October 2026 examination, which was held from October 1, 2026, to October 6, 2026. The examination took place in an offline pen-and-paper mode at various designated test centres across the country.

The CSEET serves as a national-level commerce entrance examination, acting as the initial step for individuals aspiring to pursue a career as a Company Secretary. The admit cards for this session were released by the ICSI in late September 2026, approximately 10 days prior to the commencement of the examination.

CSEET October 2026 Examination Schedule and Pattern

The CSEET October 2026 examination covered four major subjects, with each subject scheduled on a specific date. The examination began with ‘Business Communication’ on October 1, 2026, followed by ‘Fundamentals of Accounting’ on October 3, 2026. ‘Economic and Business Environment’ was conducted on October 5, 2026, and the examination concluded with ‘Business Laws and Management’ on October 6, 2026.

The examination comprised objective-type multiple-choice questions, with a duration of 120 minutes for the MCQ-based test. In addition, a 15-minute viva-voce component on Presentation and Communication Skills, carrying 30 marks, was conducted either simultaneously with or immediately after the MCQ-based computer-based test through online mode. Candidates were required to carry a printed copy of their admit card to the examination centre for verification purposes.

Admit Card Release and Download Procedure

The ICSI released the admit cards for the CSEET October 2026 session in late September 2026. Candidates were able to download their admit cards from the official website, icsi.edu. To access their admit cards, candidates needed to provide their 17-digit Unique Registration Number and date of birth.

It was advised that candidates carefully check all details mentioned on their admit card after downloading it. In case of any discrepancies, candidates were instructed to contact the ICSI authorities for correction before the examination dates. The admit card was a mandatory document for entry into the examination centre.

Registration and Enrolment Timelines for October 2026 Session

The registration window for the CSEET October 2026 session was open from February 16, 2026, to May 31, 2026. Following registration, the exam enrolment period without a late fee for the October 2026 session was from July 16, 2026, to August 15, 2026. Candidates who missed this window had an opportunity to enrol with a late fee from August 16, 2026, to August 20, 2026.

The registration fee for appearing in CSEET is Rs 1000 per student per appearance. Graduates and post-graduates are directly eligible for admission to the CS Executive Programme but are required to pass CSEET. Exemptions from CSEET are provided to candidates who have passed the CS Foundation Program or the Final Exam of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), without any payment of exemption fee.
