NEET UG Stray Round 2026 registration opens for Haryana MBBS, BDS seats; apply by October 19

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana, in conjunction with Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, has initiated the NEET UG Stray Round 2026 counselling for MBBS and BDS seats. Registration and choice filling for this final round began today, October 17, 2026, and will conclude on October 19, 2026.

This stray round represents the last opportunity for candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 to secure admission to vacant MBBS and BDS seats across government, government-aided, and private medical and dental colleges in Haryana for the 2026–27 academic year. All eligible candidates, including those who participated in previous rounds, are required to complete a fresh registration on the official counselling portal, uhsrugcounselling.com.

Key Dates for Haryana NEET UG Stray Round 2026

The counselling authority, Pt. Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences (UHSR), Rohtak, has outlined a specific timeline for the stray round. Following the registration and choice filling period, the provisional seat allotment list will be released on October 21, 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must complete their online provisional tuition fee payment between October 21 and October 23, 2026.

Physical document verification is scheduled for October 24, 2026, and the final deadline for reporting to the allotted colleges is October 26, 2026. Missing any of these stipulated deadlines will result in the forfeiture of the allotted seat.

Eligibility and Required Documentation

All candidates who successfully qualified NEET UG 2026 are eligible to apply for the stray round, irrespective of their participation in earlier counselling stages. However, fresh registration is mandatory for every applicant in this final round. Candidates are advised to carefully fill out their forms themselves and verify all details, as no changes were permitted after submission in previous rounds.

For document verification, candidates must present their NEET UG 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and 12 certificates, and Haryana domicile proof for state-quota seats. Valid category certificates are also required, with BCA/BCB creamy/non-creamy layer certificates needing to be issued after April 1, 2026. EWS candidates must provide a current income and asset certificate. Incorrect or outdated documents may lead to rejection during the verification process.

Counselling Process and Previous Rounds

The counselling process, managed by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana, primarily covers 85% state quota seats. This stray round follows the conclusion of earlier counselling stages. Haryana NEET UG Counselling Round 1 registration took place from August 28 to August 31, 2026. Round 2 registration commenced on September 10, 2026, and closed on September 12, 2026. The NEET UG Round 3 seat allotment results were released on October 9, 2026, leading to the current stray round to fill any remaining vacancies.

Candidates seeking admission to institutions such as SGT University (Gurugram), Maharishi Markandeshwar University (Ambala), Al-Falah University, and Sanskaram University (Jhajjar), in addition to government colleges, are participating in this final counselling stage. The stray round serves as the last opportunity for candidates who have not yet secured a seat in the 2026–27 academic year.
