NEET UG 2026 stray round choice filling begins in Gujarat

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Government of Gujarat, started the choice filling process for the NEET UG 2026 Stray Round on October 16, 2026. This process is for admissions to undergraduate medical and dental courses in Gujarat.

The current stray round follows the release of the Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 schedule and the completion of various stages for Round 3, including online registration and document verification. The counselling process by ACPUGMEC covers admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and BSc Nursing courses.

Gujarat NEET UG Round 3 Registration and Verification

The online registration for Round 3 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions began on September 26, 2026. Candidates had until September 30, 2026, 12:00 Noon, to purchase the online PIN and until September 30, 2026, 4:00 PM, to complete their online registration. Document verification and submission of photocopies for Round 3 were conducted from September 30, 2026, 10:00 AM, to October 1, 2026, 4:00 PM.

For fresh online registration in Round 3, candidates were required to purchase a PIN for ₹11,000. This amount included a non-refundable registration fee of ₹1,000 and a refundable security deposit of ₹10,000. NRI candidates were also required to submit a ₹10,000 Demand Draft as a processing fee at the ACPUGMEC office located at GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.

Document Verification Protocols for Round 3

From Round 3 onwards, the document verification process at Help Centres was carried out exclusively against original documents. DigiLocker documents, colour photocopies, and printouts were not accepted for verification. Help Centres operated from Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and on Saturday, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, to support this process.

Candidates seeking to cancel their Round 1 or Round 2 admission were able to submit their resignation at designated Help Centres from September 26, 2026, to October 1, 2026, 4:00 PM. This provision allowed candidates to participate in subsequent rounds or other counselling processes.

Previous Counselling Stages and Merit List

The provisional Gujarat NEET UG 2026 merit list for MBBS and BDS courses was released on August 16, 2026. Following its release, a correction and grievance window was provided from August 17 to August 19, 2026. Objections to the provisional merit list had to be filed in person at the document verification help centre during this period, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

August 18, 2026, was specifically designated for the verification of Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates within the objection window. The registration PIN purchase for Gujarat NEET UG counselling 2026 Round 2 had commenced on September 1, 2026, preceding the Round 3 schedule.
