Gujarat NEET counselling 2026: ACPUGMEC begins round 3 MBBS, BDS choice filling, deadline October 10

The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gujarat, today began the third round of online choice-filling for MBBS and BDS admissions for the academic year 2026-27. This round covers Government, Management, and NRI quota seats in undergraduate medical and dental courses across government and self-financed institutions in Gujarat.

The choice-filling process commenced on October 6, 2026, and is open to all eligible candidates whose names are included in the ACPUGMEC merit list. Candidates have until 10:00 am on October 10, 2026, to submit their choices, with the option to view submitted choices available until 12:00 noon on the same day. The entire admission process for 100% of seats in all Medical and Dental Undergraduate colleges of Gujarat State is conducted online by ACPUGMEC on a merit basis.

Round 3 Choice Filling and Key Dates

The third round of choice-filling is a crucial opportunity for candidates seeking admission to medical and dental undergraduate courses. ACPUGMEC released the advertisement for Third Round MBBS/BDS Choice Filling on October 5, 2026, at 05:24 PM, following the release of the Revised Provisional MBBS/BDS Merit List 2026 at 05:20 PM on the same day. Important instructions regarding this round were also issued on October 5, 2026, at 04:51 PM.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the Gujarat medical admission portal, medadmgujarat.org, for detailed information and updates. The schedule for the current choice-filling activity is as follows:

Registration and Fee Structure for Round 3

The registration window for Round 3 of Gujarat NEET UG 2026 counselling concluded on September 30, 2026. The online PIN purchase was available from September 26 to September 30, 2026, closing at 12:00 noon, while online registration closed at 4:00 PM on September 30, 2026. Document verification and submission of photocopies for Round 3 took place from September 30 to October 1, 2026.

The online registration fee is INR 1,000, which is non-refundable. In addition, a refundable security deposit of INR 10,000 is required, making the total fee for online PIN purchase and registration INR 11,000. NRI candidates are required to submit a Demand Draft of INR 10,000 as a processing fee to ACPUGMEC, payable at Gandhinagar. Candidates who purchased the Online PIN in Round 1 or Round 2 but did not complete online registration or document verification were not required to purchase the PIN again for Round 3.

Financial Considerations and Forfeiture Rules

ACPUGMEC advises candidates to carefully check available seats, tuition fees, and other applicable fees before filling their choices. It is recommended that candidates assess their financial capacity and ensure fee arrangements are in place before opting for a seat. A refundable security deposit of INR 10,000 may be forfeited if a seat is allotted and fees cannot be arranged, leading to non-confirmation of admission.

In addition, candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 who do not report to the institute within the prescribed time will have their security deposit forfeited. Such candidates will also not be eligible for Round 4. The cancellation of earlier round admissions for Round 3 was permitted from September 26 to October 1, 2026, up to 4:00 PM.

Overview of Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026

Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 supports admissions to 85% of MBBS/BDS seats in government colleges and 100% of seats in private colleges within the state. The remaining 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government colleges are filled through counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The initial registration for Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2026 was open from July 31, 2026, to August 12, 2026.

Gujarat has a total of 43 medical colleges with approximately 7,500 MBBS seats, and 13 dental colleges offering 1,255 BDS seats, including 250 government and 1,005 private BDS seats. Round 3 is often considered a mop-up round, covering vacant seats in various programmes, and may represent the final state quota opportunity for MBBS and BDS aspirants in Gujarat who did not secure a seat in earlier rounds or chose not to join.

Previous Rounds and Document Verification

ACPUGMEC released revised provisional MBBS/BDS merit lists on August 20 and August 23, 2026. Round 1 online choice filling information was released on August 23, 2026, with allotment and reporting information following on August 27, 2026. The advertisement for Round 2 online PIN purchase and registration was released on August 31, 2026.

From Round 2 onwards, candidates are required to produce original documents for document verification at the designated Help Centre. DigiLocker documents and colour photocopies or printouts are not accepted for this process. Help Centres operate from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturdays, remaining closed on Sundays and public holidays.
