The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is set to release the subject-wise question paper PDFs for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) October 2026 examination. The examination, which serves as an entry test for admission to the CS Executive Programme, was conducted from October 1 to October 6, 2026, at designated centres across various cities in India.

This October 2026 session marks one of three annual examinations for CSEET, with other sessions held in February and June. The current examination cycle follows a restructured pattern, applicable to candidates who registered on or after December 16, 2025, moving from an online remote-proctored format to a centre-based, pen-and-paper examination mode.
CSEET October 2026 Examination Structure and Schedule
The CSEET October 2026 examination is a centre-based test comprising four papers, with a total of 400 marks. Three papers are subjective, while one is OMR-based. Each paper carries 100 marks. Candidates are allotted 15 minutes of question paper reading time for each paper. There is no negative marking in the OMR-based Business Laws and Management paper.
The examination was conducted over four days, with one paper scheduled per examination day. The examination language for all papers is English. The subjective papers, namely Business Communication, Fundamentals of Accounting, and Economic and Business Environment, each have a duration of three hours. The OMR-based paper, Business Laws and Management, has a duration of two hours. The Business Laws and Management paper is divided into 60 marks for Business Laws and 40 marks for Business Management.
| Date of Exam | Paper | Maximum Marks | Exam Pattern | Duration |

Eligibility and Passing Criteria
To pass the CSEET, candidates must secure at least 40% in each paper and an aggregate of 50% across all papers. Graduates and post-graduates are directly eligible for the CS Executive Programme and are not required to take the CSEET exam, as stated by the ICSI.
The restructured CSEET pattern, which includes the shift to a centre-based mode and the introduction of subjective papers, applies to candidates who registered on or after December 16, 2025. This revised format represents a change from the previous online remote-proctored, entirely Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based examination.
Registration and Enrollment Process
The registration window for the October 2026 attempt was open from February 16 to May 31, 2026. Following registration, the enrollment window for the examination was from July 1 to August 7, 2026. A late enrollment fee of ₹250 was applied for candidates who missed the initial enrollment deadline.
The one-time registration fee for CSEET is ₹7,500, which includes the Student Induction Programme (SIP) and online classes. In addition, an examination enrollment fee of ₹1,500 is charged per session.
