ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 round 1 seat allotment result out; pay fees by October 7

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) today, October 5, 2026, released the Round 1 seat allotment result for the All India Entrance Examination for Admission to Postgraduate (AIEEA PG) programmes. Candidates can access their allotment status on the official ICAR counselling portal, icarcounseling.com, from 11 AM IST. This round is for admission to postgraduate and PhD programmes in agriculture and allied sciences for the 2026-27 academic year, excluding veterinary science.

The counselling process for the AIEEA PG 2026, which saw 28,303 candidates appear for the examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 4, 2026, is now in its critical post-allotment phase. The ICAR-AU system comprises 74 Agricultural Universities, with the counselling schedule including four regular rounds followed by a Mop Up/Final Round.

Key Deadlines for Round 1 Allotment

Following the release of the Round 1 seat allotment, candidates are required to complete several steps within strict deadlines. University-level document verification is scheduled for October 6, 2026, with a deadline of 11:50 PM IST. If any documents need re-submission, candidates have until October 7, 2026, at 11:50 AM IST to upload them.

The mandatory seat acceptance fee of Rs 10,000, which is separate from the non-refundable Rs 500 counselling registration fee, must be paid by October 7, 2026, at 4 PM IST. Registration, choice filling, fee payment, and document upload for Round 1 began on September 29, 2026, at 5 PM, with the deadline for choice filling and document upload being October 2, 2026, at 11:50 PM.

Counselling Process and Subsequent Rounds

The ICAR AIEEA PG 2026 rank card, which was released after the results on August 31, 2026, contains details such as the candidate’s marks, overall rank, category, subject group, roll number, and result status. The entire application process for the ICAR Entrance Examination for Admissions – 2026 was conducted online. An ICAR notice on October 1, 2026, fixed October 2, 2026, as the cutoff for completion of the prerequisite degree or issuance of the Provisional Degree Certificate.

Following Round 1, the counselling schedule includes three more regular rounds and a final Mop Up round. Round 2 seat allotment is scheduled for October 9, 2026, from 11 AM, with the seat acceptance fee deadline on October 10, 2026, at 4 PM. Round 3 seat allotment will be on October 12, 2026, from 11 AM, with its fee deadline on October 13, 2026, at 4 PM. Round 4 seat allotment is scheduled for October 15, 2026, from 11 AM. The Mop Up/Final Round will commence on October 19, 2026, at 5 PM, with the display of the seat vacancy matrix, payment of counselling fee, and fresh choice filling.

Examination Statistics and Required Documents

A total of 30,619 candidates registered for the ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2026 examination, with 28,303 appearing. Among those who registered, 15,115 were female and 15,504 were male. Of the candidates who appeared, 14,004 were female and 14,299 were male. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with conducting examinations in agriculture and allied sciences since 2019, including ICAR AIEEA (PG).

Candidates are required to have a detailed set of documents ready for the verification process. These include academic certificates from Class 10 onwards, the final-year undergraduate degree marksheet or a provisional certificate, the NTA-issued AIEEA PG admit card, the computer-generated confirmation page of the NTA application, and the ICAR-issued rank card. Identity proof such as an Aadhaar card, domicile certificate, and a character certificate from the last institution attended are also necessary. Category-specific certificates for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, Gen-EWS, PwBD, and sponsorship certificates for in-service candidates are also required where applicable.
