KEA PGCET 2026 round 1 counselling: pay fees, exercise choices by October 3

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) released the PGCET 2026 post-allotment schedule for round 1 counselling on September 25, 2026. This schedule outlines the subsequent steps for candidates who have been allotted seats for MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, and MArch admissions.

The PGCET counselling process is a centralised admission procedure, and candidates who secured a seat in the first round must now complete the fee payment and choice-filling process within the stipulated deadlines to confirm their admission or opt for further rounds.

PGCET 2026 Round 1 Post-Allotment Schedule

Following the publication of the first round real seat allotment final result on September 25, 2026, candidates are now required to exercise their choices and complete fee payments. The window for exercising choices and fee payment is from September 29, 2026, to October 3, 2026. Choice 1 candidates, who are satisfied with their allotment and do not wish to participate in the second round, must pay the fee, download the confirmation slip, and report to the allotted college by October 4, 2026. Choice 2 candidates, who are satisfied but wish to consider a float option for a better allotment in round 2, are also required to pay the fee within this period.

The KEA had previously conducted the option entry for eligible candidates from September 11, 2026, to September 18, 2026, with the last date to change option entries being September 22, 2026. The provisional result for the first round real seat allotment was tentatively published on September 22, 2026.

The Karnataka Examination Authority has outlined a detailed schedule for the ongoing PGCET 2026 counselling process. This includes the initial option entry, mock allotment, and the final stages of seat confirmation and college reporting.
