Candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round of counselling now have until October 12, 2026, to complete the fee payment, download their admission order, and report to their respective colleges. This marks another extension granted by KEA to the previously announced schedule, aiming to support the admission process for students.

Revised Deadlines for Admission Formalities

The KEA has set October 12, 2026, as the new deadline for several crucial post-allotment steps. Candidates must log in to the official KEA portal, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea, to pay the prescribed admission fee. The authority has clarified that this payment must be completed strictly within the revised timeframe to ensure the validity of the allotted seats.

Following successful fee payment, candidates are required to download their Seat Confirmation Slip, also known as the admission order, from the KEA candidate portal. The deadline for downloading this slip has also been aligned with the revised last date of October 12, 2026. KEA has advised candidates not to wait until the last moment to complete the fee payment, as generation of challans or payments through designated bank branches are subject to banking hours, and banks will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

College Reporting and Consequences of Non-Compliance

After completing the fee payment and downloading the Seat Confirmation Slip, candidates must report to their respective allotted colleges. This reporting involves submitting all original documents for verification. KEA has stated that candidates must complete college reporting on the same day, October 12, 2026, within working hours. Failure to complete college reporting by this deadline will result in the allotted seat being treated as forfeited, as stated by KEA: “Candidates must complete college reporting on the same day, October 12, 2026, within working hours, failing which the allotted seat will be treated as forfeited.”

The latest notification from KEA does not include any updates or revisions regarding the choice entry process, nor has the authority announced any reopening or modification of candidate options in this circular. The PGCET 2026 examination was conducted for admission to various postgraduate professional programmes offered by institutions such as Visvesvaraya Technological University, Srinivas University, and RV University, among others.

Previous Schedule Adjustments and Key Dates

The KEA has made multiple adjustments to the internal dates for PGCET 2026 counselling since the exam results were declared.
