UP NEET PG 2026 counselling registration begins October 21; merit list on October 26

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has announced the schedule for the first round of UP NEET PG 2026 online counselling for admission to MD, MS, diploma, and DNB courses under the state quota. Online registration for eligible candidates will begin on October 21, 2026, at 2 pm, and will conclude on October 26, 2026, at 11 am.

This counselling process covers state quota seats in government and private medical colleges, institutes, and universities across Uttar Pradesh. The announcement follows the NEET PG counselling timetable issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, which oversees the 50% All India Quota Post-Graduate Medical and Dental seats.

Key Dates for UP NEET PG 2026 Round 1 Counselling

The DGME, Uttar Pradesh, released a detailed schedule for the first round of counselling, with the notification dated October 17, 2026. The merit list for registered candidates will be declared on October 26, 2026, followed by the commencement of the choice-filling process on the same day at 5 pm.

Candidates will have until October 30, 2026, at 5 pm to fill and lock their choices for preferred courses and colleges. The seat allotment result for this round is set to be announced on November 2, 2026. Successful candidates can download their allotment letters and complete the admission formalities in two windows: November 3 to 7, 2026, and November 12 to 13, 2026.

Registration and Security Fee Details

A non-refundable registration fee of Rs 3,000 is required for UP NEET PG counselling. In addition to this, candidates must also deposit a security fee, the amount of which will vary depending on the college or seat type. Both the registration and security fees must be paid online by October 26, 2026, at 2 pm.

The counselling process specifically covers MD and MS admissions under the 50% state quota. Candidates are advised to refer to the official websites, upneet.gov.in and dgme.up.gov.in, for all counselling-related information and updates.

Documents Required for Admission

Candidates participating in the UP NEET PG 2026 counselling will need to have several documents ready for the admission process. These include the NEET PG 2026 admit card and scorecard, MBBS marksheets for all years, and the MBBS degree (original or provisional). Proof of internship completion is also mandatory.

Other essential documents include Class 10 and 12 certificates, a valid photo ID such as Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Voter ID, and a UP domicile certificate if applicable. Candidates claiming reservation benefits must provide a category certificate. Recent passport-size photographs, the fee payment receipt, and the seat allotment letter (after it is issued) are also required for completing the admission formalities.
