RRB Group D 2026 Result Live Updates

RRB Group D 2026 Result Shortly Live Updates: Region-wise Result, Cut Off & Scorecard @rrbcdg.gov.in

The RRB Group D 2026 result is set to be released by the end of April on rrbcdg.gov.in, following a multi-month CBT schedule. Candidates should monitor regional sites for the percentile-based scorecards and begin physical training for the PET rounds starting in June.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is on the verge of concluding one of the largest recruitment drives in the country. Millions of candidates who appeared for the RRB Group D (CEN 08/2024) exams between November 2025 and February 2026 are now looking for their qualifying status. As per the latest buzz from the ministry, the RRB Group D Result 2026 is expected to be uploaded by the fourth week of April 2026.

The results will be declared in a phased manner across all 21 regional websites, starting with the main portal at rrbcdg.gov.in. Along with the results, the board will also release the individual scorecards and category-wise cut-off marks.

Latest Updates on RRB Group D Result Declaration

The evaluation process for the computer-based test (CBT) has reached its final stage. While students have been anxious about delays, the latest reports indicate that the board is currently finalizing the merit list after resolving technical queries regarding the answer keys. There were rumors of a legal stay from the Telangana High Court, but recent updates suggest the path is clear for a month-end release.

The result will be published as a PDF merit list containing the roll numbers of candidates who have successfully qualified for the next stage—the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates are advised to keep their registration numbers handy, as the portal often experiences heavy traffic during the first few hours of the announcement.

Detailed Region-wise Expected Cutoff Marks 2026

The cut-off marks for RRB Group D are notoriously varied. Because the competition density differs from the Northern zones to the Southern zones, the “safe score” changes significantly. For 2026, the paper difficulty was rated “Moderate to Difficult,” which might lead to a slightly lower cut-off compared to previous years.

Expected Cut-off Ranges (General/UR Category):

  • Northern Zones (Chandigarh, Delhi, Allahabad): 76 – 82

  • Eastern Zones (Kolkata, Patna, Ranchi): 74 – 80

  • Western Zones (Mumbai, Ahmedabad): 68 – 74

  • Southern Zones (Chennai, Secunderabad, Bangalore): 62 – 70

Reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, and EWS) typically see a dip of 5 to 12 marks from these figures. For example, the ST category cut-off in some South-Western regions could go as low as 48–52.

Understanding the Normalization & Scorecard Process

Since the Group D exam was conducted in multiple shifts over nearly three months, the difficulty level was naturally inconsistent across dates. To fix this, RRB uses a Percentile-based normalization method.

This ensures that a student who faced a very tough paper in December isn’t at a disadvantage compared to someone who had an easier shift in February. Your Scorecard will show:

  1. Raw Marks: Your actual marks based on correct and incorrect answers.

  2. Normalized Score: Your adjusted score after the statistical formula is applied.

  3. Qualifying Status: A simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ indicating if you made it to the PET.

How to Check Your Result & Download Scorecard?

Once the link is officially live, follow these steps to avoid confusion:

  1. Select Your Region: Go to the official regional website (e.g., RRB Patna, RRB Mumbai, etc.).

  2. Find the Link: Look for “CEN 08/2024 Result Link.”

  3. Search the PDF: Open the result PDF and press Ctrl+F to type your roll number. If it highlights, congratulations!

  4. Login for Scorecard: Use the separate “Candidate Login” link to enter your Registration Number and Password (DOB) to see your marks.

What’s Next? The Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Shortlisted candidates don’t have much time to rest. The PET is tentatively scheduled for June 2026. This stage is qualifying in nature but mandatory.

  • For Men: You must lift 35 kg and carry it for 100 meters in 2 minutes (one attempt) and run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

  • For Women: You must lift 20 kg and carry it for 100 meters in 2 minutes, and run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
