CUET PG Result 2026 Live Updates: NTA Scorecards Out Today, Check Expected Cutoffs and Toppers List

The NTA has declared the CUET PG 2026 results today, April 24, with scorecards available via application number and DOB. Candidates must now register on individual university portals for counseling, keeping an eye on high expected cutoffs for top-tier institutions like JNU and DU.

The long-awaited moment for postgraduate aspirants across India has arrived. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is officially releasing the CUET PG Result 2026 today, April 24, 2026. Following the conclusion of the exams held in March, the NTA has finalised the evaluation process, including the resolution of challenges raised against the provisional answer key.

Candidates can now access their digital scorecards, which will serve as the mandatory document for admission into 44 central universities and over 100 other participating institutions. This year, the exam saw a significant jump in registrations, particularly for professional courses like MBA and MCA, making the competition for top-tier universities fiercer than ever.

How to Download the CUET PG 2026 Scorecard?

The NTA has streamlined the result-checking process to handle high web traffic. To get your results without any technical glitches, follow these specific steps:

  1. Official Portal: Navigate to the official NTA CUET PG website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/.

  2. Login Dashboard: Click on the “CUET PG 2026 Login” or “Scorecard” tab visible on the public notice board.

  3. Credential Entry: You will need your Application Number (found on your admit card) and your Date of Birth. If you have forgotten your password, use the ‘Forgot Password’ link to reset it via your registered mobile number.

  4. Security Pin: Enter the case-sensitive security pin displayed on the screen.

  5. Download & Verify: Once the dashboard opens, download the PDF version of your scorecard. Ensure that your name, photograph, and subject codes are correctly mentioned before taking a printout.

Expected Cutoffs for Top Universities

The cutoff is the minimum score required to secure a seat in a particular program. While the NTA does not release a centralized cutoff, individual universities will announce their own based on the number of applicants and seat availability.

University General (Expected) OBC (Expected) SC/ST (Expected)
University of Delhi (DU) 225 – 250 210 – 235 180 – 215
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) 240 – 285 220 – 245 170 – 200
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) 215 – 245 200 – 230 170 – 210
University of Hyderabad 205 – 230 190 – 215 160 – 195

For high-demand courses like M.A. English, M.Com, and M.Sc. Biotechnology, cutoffs are expected to remain on the higher side. JNU, which relies heavily on the “Domain Knowledge” section, typically has the highest cutoffs in the country.

Understanding the NTA Score and Normalization

Many students are often confused by why their “raw marks” differ from their “NTA Score.” Because the CUET PG is held over multiple days and shifts, the difficulty level of papers can vary. To ensure fairness, the NTA uses a multi-shift raw score normalization process based on percentiles.

The NTA Score is not a percentage of marks obtained. Instead, it indicates the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or less than that particular candidate in that session. For example, if you have a 99th percentile, it means 99% of the candidates who took that specific subject exam scored less than you. This normalised score is what universities use to prepare their final merit lists.

What’s Next? The Counseling Process

Securing a good rank is only half the battle. The next phase is the counselling and seat allotment, which is conducted independently by each university.

  • Separate Applications: Unlike the UG process, there is no single “Common Seat Allocation System” for all PG universities. You must visit the website of each university you applied for (e.g., DU, BHU, or JMI) and register on their specific portal.

  • Preference Filling: During registration, you will list your preferred colleges or specialisations.

  • Document Readiness: Keep your 10th, 12th, and graduation marksheets ready, along with your category certificate (EWS/OBC/SC/ST) and the CUET PG Scorecard.

  • Seat Allotment: Based on your rank and preferences, universities will release multiple “Admission Lists.” If allotted a seat, you must pay the fee within the stipulated time to freeze your admission.

CUET PG 2026 Toppers List

The NTA usually publishes a list of candidates who secured the 100th percentile in various subjects.

This year, the “Toppers List” is expected to feature a diverse range of students from across India.

In 2026, there has been a notable performance boost in the humanities and social sciences sectors. The official press release will highlight the names, states, and subjects of these high achievers. Being a topper doesn’t just mean a seat in a top university; it often opens doors for prestigious research fellowships and scholarships.
