Students who appeared for the Punjab Board Matric examinations can now check their results online through the official website of the Punjab Board, PSEB Official Website. Thousands of students and parents across Punjab were eagerly waiting for the result declaration after the completion of the board examinations earlier this year.

According to the latest updates released by the board, the overall pass percentage this year stands at 94.52%. The result includes important details such as subject-wise marks, grades, qualifying status, topper names, district-wise performance, and merit list.

Students can access their provisional scorecards online using their roll number. The original marksheets will later be distributed through respective schools.

The Punjab School Education Board officially declared the Class 10 result during a press conference conducted by board officials. This year, around 2.69 lakh students appeared for the Punjab Board Class 10 examinations held from March 6 to April 1, 2026. Out of these, more than 2.54 lakh students successfully passed the examination.

Punjab Board Class 10 Topper 2026

This year, Harleen Sharma emerged as the state topper in the Punjab Board Class 10 examinations. She scored 646 marks out of 650, achieving an impressive 99.38 percent. Harleen belongs to Saraswati Senior Secondary School, Jaito, in Faridkot district.

The second position was jointly secured by students scoring 645 out of 650 marks. Reea Rani from Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Model Town, Hoshiarpur, was among the top rank holders.

The topper list once again highlights the strong academic performance of students from Punjab schools.

Overall Pass Percentage in PSEB 10th Result 2026

The overall pass percentage this year is 94.52%, slightly lower than last year’s performance. In the previous academic session, the pass percentage was 95.61%.

Out of the total students who appeared:

  • 2,54,744 students passed
  • Around 13,126 students received re-appear status
  • 1,593 students failed
  • 42 results were withheld

Despite a small drop in the overall pass percentage, the results remain strong compared to many other state boards.

Girls Outperform Boys Again

Girls performed better than boys in the Punjab Board Class 10 examinations this year.

  • Girls’ pass percentage: 95.96%
  • Boys’ pass percentage: 93.23%

The merit list also showed a strong presence of female students. Out of 272 students featured in the merit list, 220 were girls.

This trend continues the consistent strong academic performance shown by girls in Punjab Board examinations over recent years.

District-Wise Performance

Amritsar district recorded the highest pass percentage in the state at 98.41%. Other high-performing districts included:

  • Ferozepur – 98.39%
  • Pathankot – 97.99%
  • Tarn Taran – 97.95%

On the other hand, Ludhiana recorded the lowest pass percentage at 89.20%. However, interestingly, Ludhiana contributed the highest number of merit list students in the state.

Subject-Wise Performance

Students performed exceptionally well in several subjects this year.

Some of the highest subject-wise pass percentages include:

  • Punjabi – 99.31%
  • Hindi – 99.06%
  • Mathematics – 98.70%
  • Science – 98.18%
  • Social Studies – 98.66%
  • English – 97.71%

Certain subjects such as Punjab History and Culture, Music (Tabla), Music (Instrumental), and Urdu recorded a 100 percent pass rate.

The board also noted excellent performance in vocational subjects including Healthcare, IT/ITES, and Apparel-related NSQF trades.

Rural Students Perform Better

According to the board statistics, students from rural areas performed better than students from urban regions.

  • Rural students pass percentage – 95.35%
  • Urban students pass percentage – 92.98%

This reflects the growing academic progress of rural schools across Punjab.
