JEE Main 2027: NTA Advises Own DigiLocker Login and Aadhaar Re-KYC Before Registration

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has advised JEE Main 2027 applicants to sign in with their own DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan (MeriPehchaan) account and to complete Aadhaar Re-KYC on DigiLocker before filling the Session 1 form. The name and date of birth must match the Class 10 certificate. Candidates who have already made mistakes can submit a fresh form until 22 November 2026, under NTA’s clarification of 30 October.

What the JEE Main 2027 Registration Advisory Says

The public notice of 28 October 2026 makes three points:

1. Use your own login. Use your own DigiLocker, JanParichay or e-Pramaan credentials “to avoid discrepancies in identity verification and biometric data at subsequent stages”.
2. Re-KYC first. Complete Aadhaar Re-KYC through DigiLocker before filling the form so that your latest details are fetched.
3. Class 10 is the reference. The name and date of birth must be the same as on the Class 10 certificate or mark sheet.

Many candidates say they signed in through a parent’s DigiLocker or had an old Aadhaar photo that did not match the live photograph captured during the form. The Information Bulletin requires this live photo, and NTA reserves the right to verify candidates’ photographs.

How to Do Aadhaar Re-KYC on DigiLocker

The process sheet linked from the advisory lists these steps:

1. Open Issued Documents in DigiLocker.
2. Tap the three-dot menu on the Aadhaar card and choose Refresh.
3. Give consent and enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
4. After the “e-KYC Successful” message, refresh your other documents.

Re-KYC only fetches what UIDAI currently holds, so an outdated Aadhaar photo or name must first be updated through UIDAI. See our report on updating Aadhaar for JEE Main 2027.

Fresh Form Rules From the 30 October Clarification

Under the clarification of 30 October 2026, candidates may submit a fresh Session 1 form even after paying:

• Only the last form with a paid fee and a Confirmation Page is valid. If the fresh form is left unpaid, the earlier paid form stays valid.
• A fresh form gets a new Application Number, and all documents must be uploaded again.
• The earlier fee is neither refunded nor adjusted. For small changes, NTA advises using the correction window from 27 to 29 November instead.
• Appearing with more than one Application Number counts as Unfair Means. Merely holding more than one number does not.
