Murshidabad Maharaja Krishnanath University begins UG 3rd semester science classes

Murshidabad Maharaja Krishnanath University in Berhampore initiated classes for all Science (lab-based) Departments of the Undergraduate (UG) 3rd Semester on November 2, 2026. The commencement affects students enrolled in various science disciplines offered by the university.

The university, located at 1, Sahid Surya Sen Road, Berhampore, Murshidabad, West Bengal (Pin- 742101), made the announcement through a notice issued by the Office of the Registrar.

Commencement Details and Official Notification

The classes for the UG 3rd Semester Science (lab-based) Departments officially started on November 2, 2026. This was confirmed by a notice, reference number MU(R)/21/D/1196/26, dated October 30, 2026, and issued by the Registrar (Acting) of Murshidabad Maharaja Krishnanath University, Berhampore. The Registrar (Acting) stated, “It is hereby notified to all concerned that the classes of all Science (lab based) Departments of UG 3rd Semester will commence on and from 2nd November, 2026.”

The notice also specified that the decision was made “with the kind concurrence of the Competent Authority.” Copies of this notification were distributed to key university officials, including the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Finance Officer, Controller of Examinations, Deputy Registrars, Deputy Controller of Examinations, Director IQAC, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Controller of Examinations, Librarians, and all Heads of Departments/Co-Ordinators/Departmental In-Charges of MMKUB.

Undergraduate SCIENCE and Minor Course Offerings

Murshidabad Maharaja Krishnanath University provides a range of Undergraduate (UG) Syllabus for its Faculty of Science. These include core subjects such as Mathematics, Biochemistry, Botany, Computer Science, Statistics, and Chemistry, which are among the lab-based departments whose 3rd-semester classes have now begun.

Plus these, the university offers a diverse array of minor courses for the 2026-2027 academic year, covering both the First and Third Semesters. These minor courses span various fields, from humanities and commerce to other science and vocational subjects, providing students with options to broaden their academic scope.
