AP FA2 Physical Science answer key 2026-27 available for classes 6-10

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has released the Formative Assessment 2 (FA2) Physical Science Answer Key for the 2026-27 academic year. This key is available for students in classes 6 to 10 across schools in Andhra Pradesh. The release aims to assist both students and teachers in evaluating understanding of science concepts and preparing for upcoming examinations.

The FA2 exams, which are conducted by the AP SCERT, were held between October 5 and October 8, 2026. These assessments are a component of the annual school assessment process in the state, with Physical Science and General Science subjects carrying significant marks in overall grading.

Purpose of the Answer Key and Model Papers

The AP FA2 Physical Science Answer Key 2026-27 is provided to help students understand the correct answers for each question paper. Per the AP SCERT, this initiative improves transparency in the evaluation process, allowing teachers to cross-verify student responses against standardized answers. Students can also use the answer key to evaluate their own performance before results are officially released, identifying areas of weakness in topics such as motion, force, light, and electricity.

Also, the answer key is intended to enhance preparation for subsequent FA2 Mathematics exams and to develop better conceptual clarity for Summative Assessment exams. Alongside the answer key, AP FA2 Physical Science Model Question Papers 2026 are available for practice. These model papers are designed in accordance with the latest SCERT syllabus and question pattern, including conceptual, numerical, real-life application-based, experiment, and diagram-based short questions. Students are advised to solve at least three previous model papers before the FA2 exam to improve time management and understanding of the marking scheme.

FA2 Exam Schedule and Key Sheet Availability

The Formative Assessment 2 (FA2) exams for the 2026-27 academic year were conducted over a four-day period in early October. The official education website, scert.ap.gov.in, serves as the portal for accessing these resources. The Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh, oversees these examinations.

Key sheets are available both for Physical Science but also for a range of other subjects. This complete availability aims to support students across various disciplines.

Recommendations for Students

To maximize the benefits of the released answer keys and model papers, students are encouraged to follow several steps. These include thoroughly revising all chapters from the SCERT textbook and understanding concepts such as Light, Motion, Force, and Sound with practical examples. Reviewing the AP FA2 Physical Science Answer Key 2026-27 after each test is recommended to evaluate mistakes.

Taking short notes for formulas and definitions, attending regular slip tests and formative tasks conducted by their school, and solving at least three previous model papers before appearing for the FA2 exam are also suggested. For instance, the F.A-2 REVISION ASSIGNMENT – 1 (2025-26) for Class 8 Physical Science comprised 20 questions for a total of 35 marks, providing a benchmark for practice.
