Availability of Physical Science Model Papers

The FA 2 Physical Science Model Papers for the 2026-27 academic year are accessible in PDF format for Classes 8, 9, and 10. These materials can be downloaded from the website www.gsrmaths.in. Currently, six model papers are listed, with one for Class 8, two for Class 9, and three for Class 10.

These model papers are designed to help students and teachers understand the question-paper structure and practice effectively before the actual FA 2 examination. Structure of Formative Assessment 2

The Formative Assessment 2 (FA 2) is a full evaluation with a total of 50 marks, utilising various assessment tools. These tools include Children’s Participation and Reflection, Written Work, Project Work, and a Written Test. For Science, Tool 1 (Children’s Participation and Reflection) specifically focuses on laboratory effort while Tool 2 (Written Work) covers timely completion of exercises, note-taking, and other writing activities. Tool 3 (Project Work) for FA-II is based on information collection.

For Classes 8, 9, and 10, the Science Formative Assessment is divided into two separate papers: Physical Science (PS) and Biological Science (BS), which are conducted in different sessions. Despite being separate, the final result for Science is consolidated as a single subject. The written test component for Classes VI to IX is a paper-pencil test carrying 35 marks and includes multiple-choice, short answer, long answer, and essay-type questions.

Fa 2 Written Test Pattern and Duration

The written test for FA 2 for Classes VI to IX is structured to assess various competencies within a duration of 1 hour 15 minutes. This component accounts for 35 marks out of the total 50 marks for the Formative Assessment. The question paper comprises 20 questions, including multiple-choice, short answer, long answer, and essay-type questions, each carrying different weightage.

Original FA 2 Question Papers are provided along with principles of evaluation, which are based on content from APSCERT Textbooks. This ensures a standardised approach to assessment across the state.

Recent Fa 2 Exam Schedule for Other Subjects

Prior to the release of Physical Science model papers, Formative Assessment 2 examinations for other subjects were conducted earlier in October 2026. The FA 2 Social Studies Key sheet was conducted on October 7, 2026, for classes 6th to 10th. The FA 2 English Exam for classes 6th to 10th was also held on October 7, 2026, with the Key Sheet for 1st to 5th Class English conducted on October 6, 2026.

Also, FA 2 Telugu Question Papers and Key Sheets were conducted on October 5, 2026, for classes 6th to 10th. On the same date, FA 2 Math Question Papers and Key Sheets were conducted for both classes 6th to 10th and classes 1st to 5th. These completed assessments provide a timeline for the ongoing Formative Assessment cycle in Andhra Pradesh schools.
