JEE Main 2027: Submit new application to correct errors by November 22

In short

  • Candidates who have already registered for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 can submit a new application form to correct errors, even if the examination fee has been paid.
  • The deadline for submitting a fresh application for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 is November 22, 2026, up to 11:50 PM.
  • Applicants submitting a new form must re-enter all required details, upload documents, and pay the examination fee again, as previous payments will not be refunded.
  • The NTA has made MeriPehchaan login mandatory for the registration process, enabling access through DigiLocker, e-Pramaan, and JanParichay.
  • A correction window for minor errors will be available from November 27 to November 29, 2026, for those not submitting a fresh application.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has allowed candidates who have already registered for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 to submit a new application form to correct errors. This clarification was issued in an advisory on October 30, 2026, and updated on October 31, 2026, following representations from candidates who reported inaccuracies in their initial submissions.

This facility is available even to applicants who have already paid the examination fee for their initial registration. The decision to permit fresh applications was made in the interest of candidates, particularly after the NTA made MeriPehchaan login mandatory for the registration process, which enables users to access services through DigiLocker, e-Pramaan, and JanParichay.

Procedure for Submitting a Fresh Application

Candidates opting to submit a fresh application will receive a new application number and must complete the entire registration process again. This includes entering all required information and uploading necessary documents such as photographs, signatures, and other applicable certificates. The NTA has clarified that only the latest application form will be considered valid, provided the examination fee has been paid for that specific submission and a confirmation page has been generated.

Any fee paid for an earlier application will not be refunded or adjusted against the payment for the new form. Candidates are advised to ensure that all details are accurate in their fresh submission to avoid further complications. The NTA has also cautioned against appearing for JEE Main 2027 using multiple application numbers, as this may lead to candidates being treated as cases of unfair means (UFM) and potential action being taken against them. However, merely holding multiple application numbers without appearing in the examination using them will not be considered UFM.

Application Deadlines and Correction Window

The deadline to apply for JEE Main 2027 Session 1 is November 22, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. For candidates who miss this initial deadline, applications with a late fee can be submitted from November 23 to November 26, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. For those with minor errors who do not wish to submit a fresh application, the official JEE Main 2027 application correction window is scheduled to remain open from November 27 to November 29, 2026.

Candidates are encouraged to review their applications carefully before the final submission. For any assistance, candidates can contact the NTA Help Desk at 011-40759000 or 011-69227700, or send an email to jeemain@nta.ac.in.
